Opposition leader, Mir Hossein Mousavi said Iran's Green Movement of reform has its roots in "religious thinking" of the populace and so long as the movement proceeds along this path, people will support it.He added: "Today people question the methods of these people who are in charge and claim to be Muslims, wondering what they have in common with the behaviour of Fatemeh Zahra (daughter of Prophet Mohammad) who had the title of honesty and avoided any form of lie or straying from the truth?"

The Choice between "the Green"

by KavehAhangarAdel on

and the status quo is much like stepping off of a crumbling rock and stepping onto a wobbly one!  The rhetoric is all too reminiscent of old school of thinking , just repolished a bit to look hipper! Maybe I am a bit pessimistic but I have a lot more respect for our youth in Iran to trust Mousavi(even though he is supposedly better than the current piece of work.)  The youth in prisons and students in universities are definitely more forward thinking than these fossils but they do realize that small steps have to be taken  to get to their ideals even if it means to have to put up with this now for another cycle!  Really appreciate your posts and recommendations.

I, unfortunately, have a biased child's view of politics! Forgive the naive take!
