by yolanda on Tue May 25, 2010 08:24 PM PDTIf the couple decides to get married, IRI "may" let them leave Evin for a while....IRI let Ahmad Batebi leave Evin to get married......initially Batebi got death sentence for the involvement in 1999 student protest....later his death sentence was commuted to 15 years and then 10 years....
//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmad_Batebi
US released 2 Iranians in Iraq.......but IRI wanted 11 Iranians turned over including the nuclear scientist..... I doubt that is going to happen....

I did not know the 3 hikers are Jewish......it is interesting that they are learning Arabic, not Hebrew....
Jewish hikers getting married in Iran is even better!

by hamsade ghadimi on Tue May 25, 2010 06:51 AM PDTi knew an islamist in collge who would would pick up a girl at a bar (he only drank virgin drinks) and before his conjugal bliss, he would pray and do the sigheh in his mind (without the knowledge of the girl). by the way, the three hikers are jewish.
They can't sigheh because they're both Christians!
by Anonymouse on Tue May 25, 2010 06:43 AM PDTThey were allowed to hold hands on TV. The only requirement is for the woman to wear a scarf. The other requirement is to look hidious in the official ceremony to be broadcast worldwide!
Everything is sacred.
bodo bodo mobarak bada, inshallah...
by hamsade ghadimi on Tue May 25, 2010 06:26 AM PDTi wonder if they're sigheh right nown.
Ali Daei is a man of many talents! A multi tasker!

by yolanda on Tue May 25, 2010 05:43 AM PDTI did not know Ali Daei is also a wedding planner. I thought he is the soccer coach for Persepolis soccer club!
Apparently it is ok to have the "unofficial and unislamic" wedding dress in Iran. Even the famous couple like Ali Daei & his wifey prefer the "unofficial" version of wedding dress.
Ali Daei's wife's photo is not "official"!
by Anonymouse on Tue May 25, 2010 04:54 AM PDTThe official wedding photos are the ones below where only the groom is shown! Did you not notice that?! I'm sure if they get married the couple will be provided with the latest and greatest in Iranian wedding outfits for brides and grooms!
With good behavior (praising Ahmadi ;-) they can even get Ali Daei as their Wedding Planner!
Everything is sacred.

by yolanda on Mon May 24, 2010 11:11 PM PDTHi Mouse,
Are you sure that bride needs Islamic wedding gown? probably not! Here is the wedding photo of the soccer legend, Ali Daei:
//www.anvari.org/cols/Soccer_Wives/
His wife's wedding dress does not look Islamic to me. Of course, there is nothing wrong with that. :O) I am pretty sure the wedding was held in Iran.
The usual (in Iran ;-). Get married out of boredom! Best Wishes!
by Anonymouse on Mon May 24, 2010 08:59 AM PDTHopefully their wedding will be publicized and paid for by Ahmadi as a "gift" of Islamic Republic. A gift that keeps giving!
Perhaps the groom will be outiftted with an Ahmadi issued suit (no tie or bowtie of course :-) and the bride with an all out Islamic wedding gown or if she prefers she can choose from these more elaborate and ethnic gowns! All paid for by the Ahmadi administratrion as a "Gift of the Iranian nation"!
Everything is sacred.
