I have a direct question and would appreciate it if you would respond.

Did the Palestinians betray Iran? Did they side with Saddam in the war and if so why? Is that the way to pay back the one nation that stood behind them.

I think they sided with Saddam because they are Arabs and so was Saddam. What kind of culture puts race above friendship. Isn't that racism. If so will you condemn it for what it is. If not please explain to me why it is not racism.

Palestinians

If the  Palestinians want to be free they would do well renouncing violence. In a head to head match with Israel they will lose. In a PR match they are way behind. Although Israel is doing its best to lose
the PR relation!

Nevertheless the US is heavily anti Islamic and pro Israel. The perception is that Muslims are violent. Whatever add to it will work against the Palestinians so they need to be absolutely well behaved. If they do they will change perception and get sympathy. If not they get no where.

I am saying this even though I admit I am not particularly pro Palestinian. They are ungrateful idiots who betrayed Iran: the one nation that stood behind them.

Now they are making more mistakes and putting back their cause even more.

is definitely an Israeli made organization. Just as Khomeini by British and Mujaheddin of Afghanistan made by US. People make mistakes and these were really idiotic ones.

Some realize their mistakes and some like the British relish in the terror they make. 

The lesson to the world is: Do not trust Islam and do not use it. There will never be anything good that comes out of Islam.

If students demonstrate their anger against any officials, foreign or domestic, they deserve to be kicked out of that institution for one year!

I have spend most of my adult years in universities and higher education institutions, and I can tell you how many student organizations, mostly Jewish against Arab officials, I have seen to dress as clowns, throw empty plastic bottles or just lay on the floor in front of the podium to express their dissatisfaction with whatever the official represented. 

NONE were ever punished beyond being kicked out of the hall. And rightly so.

Thank you for your insightful comment. The bigger question is how to get the government back. American media and policy makers are just as guilty as their influential lobbyist and Israeli government.

Moral high ground

 I support their cause. And even though I wouldn't participate in it, I have sympathy for their making a strong symbolic statement that Israel does not deserve a hearing until their policies change.

The problem is that they want it both ways. They want to go against the 'system' and then use the system to support them in it. They want to break the 'establishment's' rules and laws and then use them in their own defense.

Their defense, of course, is that their right to peaceful protest was denied. This was not a peaceful protest. It was disturbing the peace, which is not a felony but can be as much as an infraction. Smearing red paint on their faces to symbolize blood and then having all the people with blood raise their hands with Palestinian flags whenever it was time for a  new question during the Q & A would be an example of a peaceful protest.

If they were an outside organization, the university could probably sue them for all the (considerable) expenses involved in organizing the event.  

But they were banking on the university not pursuing anything because they would "know" that it would be unprovable ithat the MSU organized it, and that if they even tried to prove it, they would have to go around questioning its members and other Muslims, which would be viewed as racial profiling, harrassment, etc. In a public university paid for by the good taxpayers of the liberal state of Calfornia.

They simply miscalculated. But they should not have been banking on these things anyway.

They should have been willing and ready to stand up proud and tall, and say yes, we did this, we disturbed the peace. No justice, no peace..We were even willing to break the law. (Leaflets in hand with all the gorey pictures of the mutilated children, if they were smart).

Now they are whining about depriving the Muslim students of places to meet. They can hand out leaflets on the college commons inviting people to private halal pot luck parties.

And they are counting on the people who don't support their cause saying they are violent terrorists and sounding bad, and the people who do support it saying their free speech speech rights were violated in peaceful protest.

In a way they are just acting like spoiled children and in another way they're not.

You can't fight the good fight if you don't keep the moral high ground. Even if you win, you've already lost.

I agree with all the points raised by you 100%.

But there is only one mistake in your post: Hamas was initially created (supported) by the Israelis and not the Iranians.

During the era when PLO was recognized as the sole representative of the Palestinian cause, Israelis decided to create a competing movement and thus Hamas was born.

I feel for Gaza citizens, and the Darfur refugees who've been slaughtered by MUSLIMS, and Tibetans who've been thrown out of their homeland by the brutal regime of China, and many many many Iranians who've suffered in the hands of the Islamic tyranny for over 3 decades.

Anger and rage has produced a destructive force called, "Hammas." I have NO sympathy for any organization that IRI supports or creates. 

Unfortunately rage-filled organizations like Hammas only fulfill their ego like "prophecy complex." They do NO good for the Palestinian people.

When the official representative of an apartheid regime which treats it's Muslim citizens and entrapped "dogs" (which is how Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank are referred to by many Israelis) with overwhelming impunity, and whose regime so recently, against international law, attacked a Turkish registered ship in international waters, killing cruelly and with pre-meditation ten unarmed humanitarian activists to attempt to prevent those activists from breaking Israel's illegal blockade of Israel's occupied territory, Gaza, is treated in such a civilized manner by such respectful-of-the-process students, UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, it's hard not to be impressed by those students.

Their efforts, and the efforts of so many Americans who are attempting to bring the unacceptable behavior of Israel to the attention of the world, are yielding fruit, in spite of entrenched Likud partisans, such as the UC Irvine facilitator appeared to be.  If we treat defenders of war crimes and crimes against humanity with all deference and respect, we undermine our Constitution and our principals. Law breakers have earned our rejection, not our acceptance.

not an Israeli or Jewish although I really respect their ability to resurrect their nation. I am a non Jewish Iranian with the utmost respect for what the Jews have achieved. I wish my people will learn a thing or two from them and help resurrect the Persian culture which has been a victim of Islam for so many centuries thanks to Arab worshippers.
