Iran discovers major natural gas reserves

TEHRAN June 20 (Reuters) - Iran has discovered 2.19 trillion cubic feet of in-place natural gas reserves in the Islamic state's northwest, an Iranian newspaper reported on Sunday.

Kayhan daily quoted managing director Ahmad Qalebani of the National Iranian Oil Company as saying the discovery took place in the existing field of Toos.

The development of the new reserves would require the drilling of six wells, the report said.

Iran, a major crude exporter, sits on the world's second-largest natural gas reserves after Russia, but sanctions that hinder access to Western technology and other factors have slowed its development as a major exporter.

The reason why our resident South Lebanese user calls this "good news" is perhaps because he thinks that more natural gas means more more money for IRI and more money for IRI means more money for the Lebanese hezbollah.  Perhaps that will be true for a while, but the gravy train will end sooner that these foreign anti-Iran leaches expect.  Hopefully.

Iran does not need Iranians like yourself who intend to stay out of the arena as an armchair violence instigator and much like the sound of drums from afar kust to have others to do your foot work so you can "someday" Royally step on to Iranian soil in your last days of life to supposedly BUILD IRAN!  Rest assured you will never be able to come to Iran. You have got to have gutts to return now for the hard work not to wait it out for others to do the job. That is precisly why Iranians reject you now and in the future. The only ones you can rely on are your faceless internet ilks here from wherever who claim are "Iranians" much like yourself.

I; we; fully intend to rebuild our beloved nation. Gas or no gas. Mark my words. However we need to remember: the greatest resource of Iran is not gas or oil. It is Iranians. Our people: they are the resource. No longer shall we rely on oild or gas but people. 

IRI will be gone; we will return and I hope to see you back home one day. We are going to rebuild our home. Real question is:

Ke miyad dast roye dastam bezareh; Ta besazim khonamono dobareh.

For our childeren, after getting rid of i.r. they can rebuild Iran by it's revenues. Thanks for this great  news. There is hope for the future of Iran after all.
