Why are there IRNA reporters in NYC?
by Onlyiran on Sat Jul 03, 2010 10:21 PM PDTThe IRI has kicked out all foreign media. Why doesn't the U.S., and the rest of the world for that matter, reciprocate. Kick the scumbags out. Thy're probably spies and / or terrorists anyway.
I wish police would ask me to help'em flagging him in public!
by obama on Wed Jun 30, 2010 11:24 PM PDTnow, this is what i don't understand! How could such a fat IRI supporter be living in the US? Isn't he considered to be a potential terrorist? Take his damn green card away and send him back to serve the regime! Unless, he is a double agent!
Good

Defend Human Rights
by acopier101 on Wed Jun 30, 2010 03:46 PM PDTAs all citizens of this country, Kaveh Afrasiabi has every rights to bring law suit against the police who he claims abused him. I hope he extends the same kind of rights to the Iranian citizens who have been harassed, abused, maimed, tortured, raped, flogged, stoned, had aftabeh stuck up their throats, hanged, and unjustly murdered.
25 year old ticket?
by P_T_B_A on Wed Jun 30, 2010 01:03 PM PDTI have lived in the States for 32 years and have never heard of police arresting someone for a 25 year old driving ticket. Is it different in New York or am I extremely ignorant of the laws? What happened to the statute of limitations? By the way, these are genuine questions if anybody cares to answer.
Afrasiabi, Yousef Bozorgmehr, Reza Esfandiari et al.
by AMIR1973 on Wed Jun 30, 2010 10:38 AM PDTThese are just a few of the no talent hacks that Iran's oil money goes to support as leaching propagandists and IRI Groupies who live in the West. More of them can be found at CASMII (of which Afrasiabi is a member, along with numerous IRI Groupis and assorted "Fellow Travelers").
he got what he deserved
by mahmoudg on Wed Jun 30, 2010 10:23 AM PDTPolice in America unlike the charlatans we call "plainclothes" security forces, Basij or pasdars, are not in the payroll of one group or another. they are free of any affilitation and are the executors of the Judiciary. He must have done something wrong and was being processed according to the law. The Islamic Rapist Republic should learn a thing or two from the American Police, in dealing humanely with the protestors. When it can do that, then it has the right to critcize it. The American police, are not by any stetch of immagination "pure", but far be it from the Islamic rapists in Iran to criticize it.
Too much freedom he is not used to has gone into his head
by fooladi on Wed Jun 30, 2010 09:50 AM PDTThey should put the scum bag on a plane and deport him back to Iran. Couple of weeks in his islamic paradise and he'd be begging for assylum in west , like the rest of islamic regime cronies are doing now....
Police brutality?!!!
by Shifteh Ansari on Wed Jun 30, 2010 09:40 AM PDTWow! How convenient that Mr. Afrasiabi should find the IRNA reporter in New York and tell him all about his experiences with the New York police!
I would like to remind him that the regime he so passionately defends at every opportunity, has been responsible for the worst atrocities committed by police and security forces of any government last year.
Has he ever heard of Kahrizak? Evin? The Sepaah Ward at Evin? The Rajaei Shahr Prison?
Did he see police shooting at people and killing them on Tehran streets because they were asking where their votes went?
Did he see them drag young kids on asphalt and beat them with batons?
Did he say anything?
No, he defended the IRI and he continues to defend them.
Once he pays his ticket and recovers from his ordeal, Mr. Afrasiabi should return to his utopia, "madineh ye fazeleh," the beautiful Islamic Republic of Iran where there is no injustice, no police brutality, no violations of human rights, no suppression, and no censorship, according to Mr. Afrasiabi.
He can then enjoy his position as IRIB's "expert," rubbing shoulders with other experts such as Dr. Hassan Abbasi and Mohammad Marandi.
