I think it’s because we wrote on Chegini’s stone ‘for what sin were you killed?’ They say the poem you wrote is inappropriate for a martyr. His tombstone has to be simple, and it has to have a poem that we want.”

Massoumeh Chegini said the following poem was written on her husband’s tomb:

“Write upon my tombstone
Under this rock a lad sleeps
With a thousand alack and doubled alas
Write, your support to stay this lad craves
Write it upon the day of my loss
In the day of sacrificing affection in reporting eyes
In the day of withering flowers in Springs
In the day of hanging madness from gallows”

وی به کمپین گفت: « من از حرف های بنیاد شهید متوجه شدم… چون گفتند سنگ اش هم باید ساده باشد. فقط مشخصات اش باید باشد. آن شعر به شهید نمی خورد. من فکرمی کنم شاید این جور که می گویند سنگ اش هم بردارند. دوست ندارند آن سنگ هم روی قبرش باشد. از کسانی که شهید خودشان اعلام کردند یکی بهمن جنابی است که در قطعه شوهرم است، یکی هم میثم عبادی است. آن ها سنگ ساده انداختند فقط اسم شان را نوشتند. الان دنبال این هستم، مطمئن شوم و چه کسی تابلوی مزار شوهرم را برداشته؟ من فقط می خواهم قاتل شوهرم را به من معرفی کنند.»

معصومه چگینی گفت بر سرمزار همسرش محرم چگینی شعر زیر نوشته شده است:

«بر سر سنگ مزارم بنویس/ زیر این سنگ جوانی خفته است/ با هزار حیف و دو چندان افسوس/ بنویس این جوان در حسرت دیدن یاری ماندن ات/ جلوی روز وفاتم بنویس/ روز قربان شدن عاطفه ها در چشم نگار/ روز پژمرده شدن گل در فصل بهار/روز اعدام جنون بر سر دار»
