Iran exports 4.8 billion cubic meters of gas

Iran has exported 4.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas since early
this year and this figure is expected to exceed seven billion cubic
meters by late of the year, the Mehr news agency reported. The Iranian
new year begins in March.

The country's average gas import from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan
amounted to 3.9 billion cubic meters (an average of 17 million cubic
meters per day).

Iran increased natural gas imports by about 32.8 percent until
mid-October and this figure is expected to be five billion cubic meters
by late of the year.
The average daily natural gas production amounted to about 413 million cubic meters in Iran.

The country extracted a total of 95 billion cubic meters of gas from
mid-March until mid-October, which is more by 6 percent over the same
period last year.
At present, the production capacity of 13 Iranian gas processing plants
increased by five percent to more than 505 million cubic meters of gas
per day.

The country's total gas consumption in the residential, commercial
and industrial sectors and power plants was about 99 billion cubic
meters, which is higher by seven percent compared to the same period
last year.
