An explosion in the south-eastern Iranian city of Chabahar has caused dozens of casualties, Iranian news sources say.
The blast, said to be a suicide attack, took place outside the Imam Hossein Mosque, the Irna news agency said.
Irna said the governor-general of Sistan-Balochistan province had confirmed the incident.
The province is prone to unrest, with the mainly Sunni population often claiming discrimination by Shias.

by Rea on Wed Dec 15, 2010 07:36 AM PSTComing from a multiethnic country that fell apart, I'm just asking questions. Far from justifying.
All I'm saying is, I don't know what is better. Or worse, for that matter. Let everybody go their own way, or keep them together by force.
Unless you have a democratic government that allow everybody to express themselves and speak their own language, it is bound to explode, one day or another.
Rea, death should never be
by alimostofi on Wed Dec 15, 2010 05:59 AM PSTRea, death should never be justified, otherwise it is to keep certain people busy "just to fight". Wow, Justified=Just to fight. Strange connection there.

In the meantime 38 casualties, they say
by Rea on Wed Dec 15, 2010 05:42 AM PSTMy heart goes to their families.
I don't know what to think.
Should one rule the country with an iron fist and, by doing so, keep the country together. Or let them all express themselves, even at a price of breaking away ?
I wonder what the average Iranian thinks. Iranian in Iran, that is.
Why should innocent Iranians
by alimostofi on Wed Dec 15, 2010 04:32 AM PSTWhy should innocent Iranians die because of the descendant of Halabi Qureshi (aka Mohammed). His descendants want to build a Kingdom and they don't have the decency to say so. They have wrapped it all up on some crazy story that has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. This ancient feud has no place in Iran.
