هاشمی نامزد نشد؛ ریاست خبرگان به آیت الله مهدوی کنی رسید

آيت الله مهدوی کنی، دبير جامعه روحانيت مبارز، که از سوی هواداران دولت و رهبر جمهوری اسلامی ايران برای رياست مجلس خبرگان نامزد شده بود روز سه شنبه توانست با کسب ۶۳ رای، رياست خبرگان را برای دو سال آينده از آن خود کند. آيت اله هاشمی رفسنجانی برای تصدی اين سمت نامزد انتخابات نشد.
اجلاسيه نهم مجلس خبرگان صبح روز سه شنبه در محل سابق مجلس شورای اسلامی آغاز به کار کرد و در نخستين اقدام خود انتخابات هيئت رييسه را برگزار کرد.
گزارش خبرگزاری های ايران حاکی است که آيت الله مهدوی کنی خود را برای رياست مجلس خبرگان نامزد کرد که توانست با ۶۳ رای موافق اين سمت را بر عهده بگيرد.
آيت اله مهدوی کنی در حالی رييس مجلس خبرگان شده است که وی از بيماری رنج می برد و به گزارش برخی از سايت های خبری ايران، با ويلچر جابجا می شود.
به دنبال اعلام نامزدی آيت الله مهدوی کنی، آيت الله هاشمی رفسنجانی که در دو سال گذشته رياست خبرگان را بر عهده داشت... >>>

So what is the point of this useless assembly of old men? Other than creating another source of income for bunch of thieves and free loaders, I can't see a purpose for it. Their objective is to monitor Khamenie's qualifications and on paper they have the power to remove him as a leader. If that was actually feasible, Rafsanjani would have done it in the past two years. Now that the head of this assembly is pro Khamenie anyway, it makes its purpose even more redundant.

As for Rafsanjanie, if he had any guts and cared more about anything else other than money, at least he would have taken action against those who come after his won children, given his vast so called power. So it seems that it's pretty much over for him from a political standpoint, in other words, zir abesho zadan.

I actually like to see him and his family pay for all the money that stole from Iran's resources, whatever happens to them they deserve it. I don't feel any sympathy for his daughter or son being harassed or investigated, as they had a big part in creating this monstrous regime. So now they will be eaten by their own. Good for them.
