TEHRAN -- Representatives from 40 countries will participate in Iran’s 16th International Oil, Gas, Refining & petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2011).
Some 927 domestic and 460 foreign companies from countries such as Austria, Spain, Australia, England, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Denmark, Russia, France, the Netherlands, India, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and Brazil will take part in the event, IRNA reported.
Number of the participating countries shows 20 percent increase in comparison to the previous edition, while the number of attending firms has risen by 22 percent.
Iran Oil Show 2011, the largest oil, gas and petrochemicals exhibition in the Middle East, will be held at Tehran Permanent Fairgrounds from April 16 to 19.
After Saudi Arabia, Iran is the second-largest oil producer in OPEC and assumed the oil producing body’s rotating presidency on 2011.
Iran, which possesses the world’s second-largest gas reserves and third-largest oil reserves, is working diligently to play a more active role in oil and petrochemical transactions in international markets
