Keeping 'impure' dogs may be banned in Iran

Pampered pooches may not be everyone's idea of "man's best friend", but a bill proposed by politicians in Iran could take this sentiment to a new extreme – by criminalising dog ownership.

 

According to Time magazine, the draft legislation is the first time MPs in Tehran have outlined specific punishments for "the walking and keeping" of "impure and dangerous animals", which many believe directly targets Iran's canine population. If the bill were passed, the illegal animal would be confiscated and the owner fined up to £300, but the bill does not clarify what fate would await the seized animals.

Islamic tradition considers dogs, like pigs, to be "unclean" animals. Despite this, keeping dogs as pets has become an increasingly popular pastime among the Iranian middle class in recent years – a trend which the new bill describes as "a cultural problem, a blind imitation of the vulgar culture of the West".

If you got your home and your own garden for your dog to wander then fair play! If you bring it into the park and runs towards members of the public inm any way then it is the business of the authorities to stop you from disturning ordinary citizens. Dogs in parks create poo and the owners are sure as hell not going to pick it up! Keeping dogs in flats where the noise bothers other neighbours is again a nuisance.

The terror regime has done something right for once.

I knew you that you would appreicate this suggestion. But now I am thinking this can become much much  bigger, why not exporting Cat's for long range missiles as well?

I see a lot of possibilities. I am  just hoping before I put my patten on these ideas islamists don't beat me to it!

How people treat animals tells a lot about who they are. I was never a big dog person but I hate cruelty to animals. Dog have been out friends since we lived in caves. It is very unfortunate that a "religion" should target these animals.

Dogs are loving; kind and totally devoted to their owners. They will protect you at the cost of their own lives. They will be your friend and love you when no one else does. Here are some quotes:

  • Gordon Gekko:: If you want a friend, get a dog.
  • Bible: As you treat the least of you this is the way you treat me?

The Islamic treatment of dogs is sick and sickening. Of course their treatment of people leave much to be desired as well. And don't get me going on Camels ...

some thing good can come out of it: they can gather all the dogs in Iran and export it to china where it is nothing but a food source and in return they can get some old obsolete chinese or north korean garbage that they  can then claim as their own technology and post video's about it week after week on youtube.

Do you propose we keep Mullahs on leashes? Perhaps require permits for their owners? 

Now to get serious part. If a bus driver refuses to allow a blind person with a guard dog on the bus:

  • The blind person or other passengers should call the police.
  • The driver should be immediately arrested.
  • Then forced to pay damages and fired.

No unemployment benefit; no other privilages. This Islam *** has gone way too far. What about the right of the blind to have their "eyes". Remember the dog is more than a "guard" it is a necessary part of the blind person's life. These "Muslims" have neither hearts nor brains.

Do we have cases of Buddhist monks using Buddhism to kill or maim non-Buddhists, or marry little girls?

The solution is to have rules, for example in public places to be kept on a leesh and poop bags, vaccinations, even permits to keep pets. Not to ban them. But even these does not solve the problem that Islam thinks dogs are "impure", contact with them rendering believers ritually unclean. Having domesticated animals free to roam inside a house, contact with which would require ritual cleansing, would be quite tricky from a practical point of view for Muslims who are required to pray five times a day. ....... it is such a pity. In the UK Muslim bus drivers sometimes do not allow blind people with guard dogs to enter the bus. Very sad.

I am sincerely sorry if I offended any responsible dog owner and I do not hate dogs. The point I was making was about responsible dog owners.

Cruelty to animals is the first sign of a patholigical disorder in mass murderers bar Adolf Hitler who was reported to be a vegetarian. I do not advocate cruelty to any animals let alone dogs and anyone who does not show compassion to animals will not show compassion to human beings. The patriarch of Shia Islam and mass murderer, Ali, was known to kill dogs and cats. Is it any wonder he cut off heads of humans without a second thought?

 The diabolical state of Tehran Zoo and cruelty to ferel cats and animals is not surprising in a regime which has no concern for its own human kind.

The mullahs are against owning dogs. Because they oppose slavery. Mullahs know they are dogs themselves {apologies to dogs}. Hence they oppose people owning their kind.

They are just using Islam as an excuse to control what people do, what people eat, where people live, etc., just about everything and anything that is not their damn business.

It is the Mullahs that are impure, not the innocent Dogs or any other animals.

I am pretty sure they are doing their best to push the wrong buttons, hoping for more chaios to distract from their illigal existance.

I would also like to see the back of Islam but just as people have a right.to own a dog they must take responsibility for if. I also have a right not to be disturbed by your dog when I am having a picnic, going for a morning run or takinga quet stroll in the park. No one should put up with irresponsible dog owners in the same way no one is expected to put up with a child misbehaving because parents cant control their kids. People can have as many kid and dogs as they like so long as they do not transfer the resposnsibility onto others.

 Taking away the right to own a Dog is a cruel and inhumane thing to do to people.

 Freedom is the right to own a Dog.To have as many kids as you want.To believe what you want to believe and say what you want to say.Anything less won't do for me.

 I'd rather 10,000 dogs ran across Iran than the I.R.I.anyday.
