TEHRAN: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik urged Islamabad to boost cooperation with Tehran to intensify campaign against terrorism, Iran’s Fars news agency reported on Thursday.

The two sides should spare no efforts to continue campaign against drug trafficking and terrorism, he said, adding that such cooperation would be to the benefit of both nations and the entire region as a whole.

Iran fully backs development and security of Pakistan and believes that the two countries can protect the security of the region, the President said.

“The existing relationship between Tehran and Islamabad is excellent and no one can harm it,” Fars quoted Ahmadinejad as saying in meeting with Malik on Wednesday.

Terror regime 'curry' favour with Pakistanis

by Simorgh5555 on

It has no friends in the Persian Gulf. Its only supporters are China and Russia who continue to support the terror regime so long as they buy their cheap junk at premium prices. In total desperation the IR is trying to reach out to his Pakistani friends!
