The distributor of the controversial Iranian film "The Outcasts 3" said that the political comedy will be offered at the Cannes Film Market, which will be held from May 11 to 20. "We will attend the event as a private sector institute and this will serve as a training exercise for us," Filmiran director Ali Sartipi told the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency on Saturday. Most of the productions offered by Iran at the Cannes Film Market over the past few years were art films, Sartipi said. The Filmiran plans to introduce films in other genres from Iran's ordinary cinema to the world, he added.
