Looking at the audience there seem to be quite a few Arab/North African/Muslims  in the seats (I see a woman in hijab, and two others with head scarves and a man in a white kufi.

I wonder who gets invites to these events - other than press and how it is determined.

"We cannot prevent every injustice perpetrated by a regime against its people... we learned in Iraq how costly and difficult it is to impose regime change by force... but in Libya we saw the prospect of an imminent massacre, and had a mandate for action.

Had we not acted w/ NATO and coalition partners, thousands would have been killed.  The message would have been clear: keep power by killing as many people as it takes.

Now time is against Qaddafi... when he inevitably leaves or is forced from power, decades of provocation will come to an end and the transition to a democratic Libya can proceed."

Now he's calling out Syria.
