European Union IDs Iran IRGC commanders aiding Syrian crackdown

The European Union has identified three commanders of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as aiding the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad in its brutal crackdown on the opposition.
The EU, which imposed sanctions on both Iranians and Syrians, named the IRGC commanders as Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani, Brig. Gen. Ali Jafari and Hussein Taeb.
