TEHRAN -- “Documents on Occupation of Iran during World War II”, published in five volumes, was unveiled during a ceremony attended by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Wednesday.
Published by the Presidential Center for Research, Evaluation, and Documents, the book series aim to explain part of the events Iran went through during the war.
“A review of historical events actually helps the demand for justice by a nation that has been involved in the war and the documents revealed today would be approved by a just and fair court anywhere in the world,” Ahmadinejad said.
He also regarded historical research as the best means to prevent future wars like World War II.
“Publication of historical documents gives awareness to a nation saying as long as justice is not observed in the world, the situation will be just like the past and that today is the time a fair system must replace the current system to eradicate oppression in the world,” Ahmadinejad said.
He also stressed that this collection needs to be made available for youth and university students. He also proposed that IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) arrange programs where historical publications are reviewed.

Observation
by IranMilitaryForum.net on Fri Jul 22, 2011 01:54 PM PDTIran has always been ran over whenever she was weak militarily. In WWII, even the nutrality declaration by Reza Shah government did not stop the Allied forces to attack Iran, destroy its weak military, kill civilians and impose their will so much that it would have lasting effect to this day.
Iran's national strength and independence must be the first priority before anything else!
