SHANGHAI (AP)—The Iranian swimmer who withdrew from a heat featuring an Israeli at the world championships says the move was not political.

Mohammed Alirezaei tells The Associated Press that he had to wait for a visa and arrived in China a day before the race in question, Sunday’s 100-meter breaststroke heat, which also included Gal Nevo of Israel.

This swimmer has withdrawn twice swimming against Israelis......and he said it is not political! He always has some inexcusable excuses!

I don't understand what IRI can accomplish by forcing her athletes to withdraw all the time?

So this swimmer has gone to Shanghai for nothing!

I recall IRI made a big noise that FIFA does not allow her women's soccer players to compete with hejab........"oh, those girls' rights are violated".....blah blah blah!

Right now, look, whose rights are violated?
