TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Russian analyst cautioned on Tuesday that the US and the Zionist regime are attempting to block Tehran's progress in different scientific and technological fields by assassinating Iranian scientists and researchers.
"The assassination of the Iranian scientist, Daryoush Rezayeenejad, is in line with Tel Aviv and Washington's hostility towards Iran's nuclear program," Igor Pancrotincov told FNA on Tuesday.
He confirmed the recent remarks made by Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani who had said that these assassination plots are "an attempt by the US to compensate for the failure of its policies", and said the US, Israel and their European allies are seeking to secure their interests even through inhumane and non-human ways.
A large number of Iranian parliamentarians in a statement on Sunday took Washington and Tel Aviv responsible for the Saturday assassination of Rezayeenejad, but meantime underlined that such hostile moves and policies could produce no positive result for the US and the Zionist regime.
Rezayeenejad, a brilliant post graduate student in the field of Power and Electronics, was gunned down Saturday afternoon in the country's capital city of Tehran by two unknown terrorists.
