A man who threw a bottle of acid at a woman's face has been pardoned by her.
Iranian Ameneh Bahrami was left blinded and severely disfigured after the attack and chose to make Majid Mohavedi suffer in the same way she did under Sharia law's eye-for-an-eye justice.
Instead of opting for financial compensation or a death penalty, she wanted him to be blinded.
After seven years in prison, Mohavedi was due to suffer his punishment but at the very last minute Ms Bahrami changed her mind.
Speaking through a translator, she tells Radio 5 live's Anita Anand how she came to that decision.

Ameneh´s plight
by Simorgh5555 on Sun Aug 14, 2011 04:49 PM PDTAs the commentator said in this video. To save what little vision she had in her eye, Ameneh flew to Spain for critical treatment.
As the narrator in this video says, Ameneh had severe financial difficulties and at one time spent time living amongst drunkards, drug addicats and prostitutes.

Why did the Terrorist Islamic Republic not provide her with a grant or foam of a loan until her so-called blood money would be paid? It was because of a lack of her poor living conditions in Barcelona where she contracted an eye infection rendering her totally blind.
But let us not forget Ahmadinejad´s generosity to the people of South Lebanon, helping them to rebuild their houses which earnt him a hero´s welcome. Ahmadinejad spent is reported to have spent more than $300 million on rebuilding houeses in South Lebanon.

Again, if less than a quarter of a million was provided for Ameneh she may still have had some vision remaining in her eye.
Ameneh Bahrami - Humanity
by Simorgh5555 on Sun Aug 14, 2011 02:15 AM PDTAmeneh Bahrami flew to Barcelona so that she can receive medical treatment to save 40 percent of her vision. Despite, Ameneh´s condition she received little or no help from the Islamic Republic to pay for her trip and she ended up sleeping in a rough accommodation and was barely able to pay for her living expenses. Now that she has settled in Spain it is reported that she receives $500 in aid.
Where was the assistance from the Islamic Republic? If this was a Palestninian child blinded by an Israeli mortar shell which exploded in her face then as a token gesture the Islamic Republic would fly her in and give her a five class medical treatment.
Indeed, the whole of South Lebanon was reconstructed and paid for by the Islamic Republic which puts Arab citizens first but let down Ameneh who whose life was shattered by an acid attack which is a feature of most Islamic countries because women are systematically repressed.
Ameneh could not wait for her attacker to pay for the ´blood money to help her fly out and receive critical eye treatment and the sorry excuse for a government in Iran let her down.
Ameneh´s crime? She wasn´t a Palestinian or Lebanese woman. If only she was blinded and attacked by a Jew or an Israeli! If this were the case she would have been chauffeur driven to hospital and stayed at the Marriot Hotel!
Let me know if Israel
by Simorgh5555 on Sat Aug 13, 2011 12:25 AM PDTLet me know if Israel punishes ITS OWN PEOPLE by mutilation, removing eyeballs from their socket, stoning women, killing and raping prisoners and giving condoms to prison wardens to rape both men and women.
Say what you like about Israel´s human rights record in Gaza and Lebanon but at least it does not punish its own citizens in the same way. Israel has no capital punishment with the exception of Eichman.
Israel certainly does not kill 8 people every hour which the Islamic Republic.
Israelis protect the human rights record of its own citizens regardless of what happens elsewhere and therefore sets an example of humanity to your own race in the same way Ameneh does.
Actually
by IranMilitaryForum.net on Fri Aug 12, 2011 12:11 PM PDTAmeneh puts the Islamic Republic Terrorist government to shame.
Actually (since you streched even this into politics) Ameneh puts self proclaimed Zionists like you to shame who have no problem with killing innocent children en mass be it in Lebanon or occupied territories on bright daylight and on live TV. Something that even Hitler, with all the killings attributed to him, was obviouly shy to do.
Cheap numb-skulls like you have no problem with death and destruction especially against Iranians. What only matters to you is who blame as your means to the end and not at all who the victim is. If you had and iota of humanity, you would have started with your own occupyinfg country and the daily innocent killings there by your beloved Zio-Terrorists before you speak about any other especially Iranians who you see as the arch enemy of the Zio-Terrorists who, given the opportunity, should be eliminated at all costs. That wish you will take to grave along with the rest of Zio -Terrorist population.
Koor Khondi!

When you commit crimes, you
by Zamin on Thu Aug 11, 2011 08:15 PM PDTWhen you commit crimes, you pay the punishments. Everyone knows in IRan if you commit rape, murder, armed robbery, etc. you will be KILLED. No exceptions. They are too stupid to understand, just another third world country!
Indeed, maybe the Islamic
by Simorgh5555 on Thu Aug 11, 2011 10:52 AM PDTIndeed, maybe the Islamic Republic can take a leaf out of Ameneh's book and consider granting compassion to just ONE of the eight people executed every hour. Imagine what difference it could make to grant a stay of execution for one of the hundreds of innocents who hand by the neck every year.
Ameneh puts the Islamic Republic Terrorist government to shame.
