Dick Cheney's new memoir In My Time has been published in the US with the former vice president promising that "heads across Washington will be exploding" after people read it.

Former secretary of state Colin Powell is already accusing former vice president Dick Cheney of taking "cheap shots" at him and others in the new book.

BBC Washington correspondent David Willis reports on the man and his political legacy.
