Protests against G8 and Ahmadinejad’s presence in NY:
The 66th UN annual session of the General Assembly of the UN will open on Sep 13, 2011 in New York City, with the G-8 meeting regarding new democratic movements in the Middle East. This has created a unique opportunity for the Iranian and other Middle Eastern activists to echo the people's voice in a coordinated demonstration of solidarity.
As the self-elected representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran takes part in the UN meetings, various Iranian political organizations and human rights activists will protest on Sep 22 against the extensive violation of human and civil rights in Iran. Some of the main themes of these protests include demand to put an end to death penalty, to stop torture, and to free all political prisoners in Iran. Military attacks on Kurdistan which is misleadingly broadcasted as a fight against terrorism, and suppression of the people of Azerbayjan who have been protesting against the irresponsible policies of the Iranian regime towards environment and ecological system of Oroumieh lake, as well as Islamic Republic's support for the Syrian government's crackdown of its people, will be strongly condemned.
In addition to protest against the Islamic Republic of Iran, people and activists of different Middle-Eastern countries, including Iran, will take part in a great demonstration of unity and solidarity on the day of G-8 meeting, on Sep 20, in order to supp... >>>

When BBC starts printing the names and pictures of every single family member of a ME tin pot dictator, then you know that the brits have given up the hope for their old lap poodles.
Here it is: khamenei and his khaar madar!
Sorry for unrelated comment dear mash Ghassem, just noticed the old Savaki girl here, and wanted to let her know that it is time to update her resume...

We raise fires up in the mountains every year, very big fires
by Mash Ghasem on Sun Sep 18, 2011 09:11 PM PDTAlways on May 1st. It burns like a big eleven , as in the 11th of Ordibehesht. Aval Mah May. Everyone from cities could see the fires at night, it's a fantastic sight.
Why do I get the feeling not only you're totaly ignorant of Gramsci and his contributions, you still haven't even read the article I just posted about the new generation of singers in Iran, and, predictibly so, still talkign all this shitte, as usual.

Read Gramsci on Popular Culture and STFU, cheers.
Precisely because Namjo and his type of artists don't know anything about "politics," (they don't give a shitte about looking "acceptable") that make them incorruptible by the power, any power. Their only commitment is to their art. As it ought to be. You're a lot more dumber shitte than me thought!

Your politics closely resembles STD, no need to blame the youth.
The call above asks Iranians to join other contingents from Middle East and North Africa in the G8 protest. What we share with these folks, as opposed to other protestors, is what Mohsen Namjo calls: Jabr Joghrafiaey.

Me furthermore thinks, when Namjo mentions and refers to : "Ay mard bey asas" he's got your type in mind.

by پندارنیک on Sun Sep 18, 2011 06:05 PM PDTAs a pack of patriotic eye-ray-nians, we should take it as a compliment when those professional protesters see our country in the same light as the Great 8s. Shouldn't we?
