ABOARD THE FISHING VESSEL AL MULAHI, in the Gulf of Oman — Late on Thursday afternoon, as the American destroyer Kidd loomed alongside this hijacked Iranian dhow, the warship’s loudspeaker issued a command in Urdu to the dhow’s frightened Urdu-speaking crew. This is the most detailed article about the hostage rescue operation! Apparently the same group of Somali pirates hijacked a smaller Iranian dhow, Bayan, and killed 2 Iranian crew members. The pirates abandoned Bayan 'cause it was running out of fuel and hijacked AL MULAHI..........the hijacked dhow ran into a French navy vessel earlier, but could not reveal they have pirates onboard 'cause the French naval vessel does not have a Urdu speaker....

The same Iranian skipper got detained by Somali pirates for 25 days 3 years ago......

All the fishermen have tough lives. Apparently they have to deal with piracy constantly!
