We are better than Australians
by Colon Cancer (not verified) on Fri Oct 26, 2007 10:35 AM PDTCamels were introduced to Australia in the late 1800s and were used for exploration as pack animals. After construction of paved roads and railroads, their owners released their camels into the wild. By 1900 the camel population increased to about 6,000 heads and today the population is estimated to be more than 150,000 heads.
Camel racing in Australia began on a regular basis about a hundred years ago at various outback towns and locations and the first major race was held at Alice Springs in 1971. The first Albury camel races that were held in 1996 and in 1997 attracted around 10,000 people. The camel race at Leeton in N.S.W. in 1998 also attracted a crowd of more than 10,000 people. Camel racing or any kind of free market venture should be encourage in Iran not made fun of. We can the Australian with one hand tided behind our back.
Immortal Guard
by Anonym (not verified) on Fri Oct 26, 2007 09:24 AM PDTYa I knew these Indian guys at the company I worked for and they used to refer to white people living in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in Canada as white niggers.
In our Iranian culture we have concepts such as "Effateh Kalaam" that are not that much known or understood in other cultures notably the Indian one.

Camel
by Ajam (not verified) on Thu Oct 25, 2007 08:13 PM PDTIronically, the name Zartosht (whose teachings these people claim to base their system of belief on) means golden camel (original form: Zarat=golden, Oshtra=camel). Yet, they somehow recycle the racial slurs usually uttered by the KKK and the likes to address their countrymen as an over-compensative way of showing their white masters how distant they are from their origins.
However, what I find most repulsive is not terms such as "camel jockey" or "towel head", but repugnant terms involving the "N" word (e.g. sand n***er). This shows that not only these people are uneducated, but they also, perhaps inadvertantly, condone the darkest period of the human history that is, slavery. I wonder what these people, themselves, will be called when they walk into an Alabama or a South Carolina town with their bleached blond hair and tanned skin. I guess in that case they whimper all the way back to their motel room and take the first flight back to LA!
I bet

I Love it
by XerXes (not verified) on Thu Oct 25, 2007 05:19 PM PDTOh great. I love to hear what all those Shahi dudes who think they are European are going to say about this. When I tell them that Iran is not Northern Tehran and the entire country is not in the same line of thought as the LA kids they get shocked. I wonder how many of them are proud to show this picture of MY IRAN to their girl/boy friends and say to them proudly, we in Iran are diverse, our culture is traditional moving forward and our religion is Islam, and YES we do have Arabs. wow did I just say that? That would make them shit in their pants. To the Shahi LA kids Iran is bache susul who walk 1% of the norther part of Tehran (That I have no problem with but to make your arguments based on that, well...)
