Nahal Tajadod was born in Teheran in 1960 and left Iran for France in 1977. She studied at INALCO where she obtained a doctorate in Chinese. Her thesis was on Mani, the Buddha of light and gave for the first time a translation of a Manichean text in Chinese, a real textbook written by the Manicheans themselves. She has been researching the Iranian contributions to Chinese civilisation. Buddhism, Christianism, Manichaeism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism and Islam were all spread in China by Iranian missionaries. Born into a family of Iranian erudites, Nahal Tajadod was initiated into Sufism in childhood. She has contributed to the translation of the Rûmi and has written a fictionalized biography of the great master of Sufism. She is the wife of famous screenwriter and film critic Jean Claude Carrière. She is the author of Passport à L'Iranienne (summary) a new book released in France>>>WATCH interview with French TV station

Dear DK:
by Santa Claus (not verified) on Mon Nov 26, 2007 06:03 PM PSTI don't mean to be a downer but, big fat hairy deal! This lady's husband, Jean Claude Carrière, was born in 1931!? He is 77 years old, see the link below. Nahal Tajadod is 47 years old! She was married to someone else much younger than this French grandpa and has a kid from her 1st!? I think she has regressed in life by marrying with old geezer!?

She looks great for being from 1960
by Sasha on Mon Nov 26, 2007 02:42 PM PSTI am amazed. She looks great for being from 1960. She does not look her age. She needs to also write a book on ageless beauty secrets. I would be the first in line to buy it. Very interesting woman. Beauty, cultured and brains.
