I sympathize with this woman. It doesn't matter if you have $200 or $2 billion dollars, it feels the same when someone you love and trust betrays you in the most intimate way. It says much more about Omid than it does Bita. He was willing to shame his wife, the mother of his children, AND his children for a romp in the sack. He has hurt everyone who knows them...his family, her family, their friends and co-workers. If he didn't want to be married he should have been honest enough to admit it and end the marriage. It takes a lot of work, lies, and deceipt to carry on an affair.

To all of you guys who don't know Bita, I know her, she has worked before, she was very successful and made more money than Omid at one point. She quit her job to stay home with the kids while omid was traveling and working. They are not divorced, they didn't file for divorce. Bita has so much grace and she is such a lady that if you meet her she won't even say a bad word about him, the only she has said to me was " we all make mistakes, omid made a bad one, and he is the father of my kids and I respect him, he is a great father". There is so much to learn from her......

Bita is no slouch

I understand she and Omid met in college and that she also has a master's degree. She encouraged him in the Google startup, stayed at home and raised two kids, so it isn't exactly like she hasn't been working. Yeah, he's a stinkin shit for cheating on her but none of us knows what goes on in their private lives.

Here's a seed thought: a $1million "house of iran" to promote culture, diversity, history, music, dance, literature, meetings, etc. in EVERY US state = $50 million, a drop in the bucket!

I personally know of several poetry societies struggling to find a suitable place and having to constantly change venues. It's outrageous and downright embarrassing to read and discuss Hafez's poetry in a neighborhood park building with the rattle of rowdy teens and skateboarders outside!
