I would like to bring few
by Bacheh Tehroon (not verified) on Wed Aug 27, 2008 01:38 PM PDTI would like to bring few thing about this interview
1) Mr. Ferdossi-poor is well trusted by the authorities and that is why he is in a position he is. Trust me, Mr. Ferdossi-poor knows better than anybody else that there are a lot of Iranians who are more qualified than he is to be a sport reporter.
2) Daei asks him " Is your program in European or American level?" If Mr. Ferdossi-poor was decent enough he would have said that: No my rpogram is not in Eurpoean or American level because we do not have free press.
3) Daei is honest with a lot of respect for himself and his country, and that is exactly why so many of us here are in shock. When an Iranian has some self respect and is courageous then we all jump on him because we are all cowards and butt-kissers.
4) Being outspoken and having self respect and being courageous is so Un-Iranian. Daei is un-Iranian because he speaks his mind and has self respect and is not afraid to speak his mind. He is not talking behind Mr. Ferdossi-poor or anybody else, like we Iranian cowards like to do, he speaks his mind fairly and honestly without allowing somebody to be disrespectful to him. Mr. Ferdossi-poor has his agenda and is trying hard to undermine such a great hero like Daei.
5) Daei has a lot of enemies within Iranian football Federation, and Iranian football Mafia. Daei can not, and also is not his job to negotiate games between Iranian national football team and foreign
footbal teams. We have seen that all these negotiations are failing, becuase there are people who really wants Daei to fail. Mr. Ferdossi-poor should ask the Iranian authorities why so many foreign teams refusing to play our national team. Trust me Mr. Ferdossi-poor never will do such a thing because he want his job so badly.
6) Daei is introducing a new culture to us and that is the culture of bravery and being outspoken. We Iranians are not used to a behaviors like these. We are cowards and like to suck up to authorities, but talk behind our opponents when they are not around so we can be safe. Let's celebrate a man like Daei for his courage and honesty.
7) It is o.k. to be brave and honest. It is o.k. to have self rspect and love our country and nation. We must appreciate like of Daei who speaks his mind. Why are we so hard on ourselves? Let's be ourselves we deserve it. It is o.k. to behave Un-Iranian. It is o.k. to be courageous.
Bacheh Tehroon You brought up good point
by Ali Sefati (not verified) on Wed Aug 27, 2008 12:03 PM PDTIPL, Iranian supposedly premier league, is no where near European leagues or even MLS league here in US so why waste talents there...Daie is right and this idiot from 90 program is wrong showing how bad Iranian media is.
Fredosi-poor is no good either
by Shahrokh T (not verified) on Wed Aug 27, 2008 11:52 AM PDTIf you watch the other clips of him, he makes many mistakes. The comments he says do not make sence. He shows no respects to the people he interviews and many other issues.
Daie is right.
by Bacheh Tehroon (not verified) on Wed Aug 27, 2008 11:49 AM PDTAli Daie asks this gus correctly:"Is your program in European or American level?" What a brlliant question! This guy Ferdossi or whatever could not answer Daie's question because his program is not in European level or American level, becuase Iran does not have free press.

Ali Daei needs to step
by Mitra from khuzistan (not verified) on Wed Aug 27, 2008 11:45 AM PDTAli Daei needs to step down, just because he was a good player does not mean he can be a good or effective coach! We all know why he got the job! God bless our team.
three OBVIOUSE points
by kanoon 112 (not verified) on Wed Aug 27, 2008 08:28 AM PDTA) Ali Daei simply does not have the experience to coach a national team. How many national team coaches do you know who have LESS THAN ONE YEAR of coaching experience? This obviously dude is connected to some heavy mollahs to get this assignment.
B) He is too proud to take criticism from ANYONE.
C) He does not know how to talk. He did'nt even let this kid ask him one question. He clearly follows the Ardebil ettiquette rules of whoever speaks loudest is the one to be heard.
Good luck to our team.....

by bikar (not verified) on Wed Aug 27, 2008 07:05 AM PDTWe Iranian love foreign coaches, we will pay them any money, driver, home, translator. And a big zero for result.
Why doesn’t ferdosi shut up, and let the man does his work. Then wait for the result, and then criticize him.
Ferdosipour compares Iranian
by Babak 80 (not verified) on Wed Aug 27, 2008 02:50 AM PDTFerdosipour compares Iranian Football with Europe. Good that Daie reminded him that his program is far less than a European TV program.
I wish Ali Daei luck. He is a legend. People like Ferdosipour can not see his success along his career.
If there's only one person who has progressed fairly in his career in Iran, that's Ali Daei, for sure.
Most of the people in Iran who've got high positions,(not only in Football!!!) have got the position overnight, without deserving it. Ali Daei is the only ecception.
Baba in Ali Daie nemizaare

Please everybody, please
by Dr. Phil on Wed Aug 27, 2008 02:09 AM PDTCan we have some peace here!!! Ali Daei was a good player, but he doesn't seem to be a good coach. A coach that doesn't listen to anyone is of no value. Sooner or later he will fail
Bring him on my program - I'll straighten him out :) - Hee Haw

by Kurdish Warrior (not verified) on Tue Aug 26, 2008 06:30 PM PDTDaei was good player however he is not suitable for being coach..From his attitude you'll see that he can't even stand critisism...If he has respect for himself and want to see strong National team, he should resign....
this clearly shows
by Miz abdol azim khaneh shahvat panah (not verified) on Tue Aug 26, 2008 04:18 PM PDTthat this guy, Daee is not a leader, he sounds like a dictator, self-centered old school who has no tolerance on other people's opinion. He sounds and seems to be the sole reason and person causing the massive failure of the National Team. People like him should be kicked out and FIRED, you hear me? FIRED. He deserves to be kicked out.
We need team leaders who listen than talk. What a noise pollutant team leader. FIRE HIM now. He has cheap excuses.
Ali Daie was a great soccer player and a great socer coach
by Ali Sefati (not verified) on Tue Aug 26, 2008 04:16 PM PDTAli Daie has achieved what every soccer player can only dream of achiving. He is the world top goal scorer, regardless of what team he scored a goal against still his name is in the books.
He was a striker that was feared when he was in his prime. That led him to big soccer clubs such as Bayern Munich of Germany. He played pro soccer until he was 37, and now that he has become a coach, he is doing just fine as well.
So it is Media's fault that they keep picking on him because they are jealous.
