by Dokhtar Irooni (not verified) on Sun Nov 30, 2008 12:56 AM PSTI like this commercial but I like the one with MC Tehran even better. He is funny when he is in the bathtub and says that peykon jah meesheh.
Where is the commercial with Tehran?
You people don't know jack!
by Faramarz_Fateh on Thu Nov 27, 2008 08:13 AM PSTThis was by far one of the better "Iranian" commercials I have seen in a long while.
I just can't believe that of all the posters, none had an ounce of sense of humor.
people you wanna see cheesy
by Tony (not verified) on Wed Nov 26, 2008 08:27 AM PSTpeople you wanna see cheesy you should watch other stations like IRAN TV NETWORK (ITN) , PEN or TEN TV.
I think Tapesh has just done it the right way. they are the only TV station. others I consider amatures. just a camcorder and thats all no programing. Allen G and M.Jamali have done it the right way. I dont care what the political views are and the end of the day they are number ONE.
there is this saying "you wanna play you gotta pay" these guys have $ to pay and they play it right. others are just begging and playing.

Is this acting?
by Jamshid Niavarani (not verified) on Wed Nov 26, 2008 08:01 AM PSTThis is the worst commercial I have seen in the history of commercials. Why has this guy made a show? And why has he forced his sisters to be characters in this show? If this show sells 2 tickets, I would be surprised.
Iranian performers in California need a face lift. The same old crap just doesn't cut it.
Free advertisement
by A1 (not verified) on Wed Nov 26, 2008 07:45 AM PSTI didn't know Iranian.com was a place for free advertisement.

by KOuroshS (not verified) on Tue Nov 25, 2008 10:14 PM PSTEruni.
what kind of changes were you looking to see anyway?
You must live in a cocoon , if you think there were no changes in iran. Of course that there are certain cultural aspects thathave not changes, same jokes, etc, But Change is all over the place, if you are observant enough to sense it.
people are IN LOVE with the lyrics of the songs by Darioush and ebi and their looks. YOu mean to tell me that after all these years You never realized that?

Stuck in the past!
by Anonymous eruni (not verified) on Tue Nov 25, 2008 08:53 PM PSTWe Iranians are stuck in the past and it take decades to change us.Ater spending close to 20 years out of Iran I went to visit my relatives. They had same jokes that I used to hear when I was in my younger age and I was just surprised that thing has not changed in Iran in 20 years. What we see here is what people like. they like Mr. Ghatebeh and that is why we have that guy imitating him. This remind me of changes. Our singers like Ebi,Satar,Daryoosh who have facial hair can not shave because people remember them with their facial hair so if they shave people do not recognize them.
Abomination
by Anonymous111 (not verified) on Tue Nov 25, 2008 07:47 PM PSTYes, go see very cheesy show done by very cheesy people in the cheesiest city on earth.

by Professor Abol H. Danesh (not verified) on Tue Nov 25, 2008 06:29 PM PSTDid they bring their "Santor" to Los Vegas show to tell the audience that it was the persians who first invented the chop stick as the intrument to feed the man's soul and then latter on it was adopted by the chinese as the instrument by which one can feed his body...

Meymoon har chi zeshtare, bazish bishtare
by Ara (not verified) on Tue Nov 25, 2008 06:05 PM PSTWell, let's just say, any interest I had in seeing an Iranian show was literally eradicated when I saw this distasteful commercial. Don't get me wrong and just in case you are making any assumptions... I'm 35 years old and have lived outside of Iran for 22 years. I love Iranian music - traditional, pop, and the rest of it. From Shajarian to Shahram Shabpareh, Googoosh to Golpayegani. Hayedeh, Mahasti, Banan, Marzieh, Vigen, and Homeyra to Nooshafarin, Sattar, Ebi, Leila Foroohar, Andy and Kouros – I like and appreciate all of them and their talent. But, honestly, what the hell is this? An ugly dude, with not an ounce of originality, and backup singers that make rap videos look like a piece of art. Can we please stop being monkeys and instead of copying everything, create real art and be innovative?
Go see "Love" about the beatles. Don't waste your money on these
by Go see an American show in Vegas (not verified) on Tue Nov 25, 2008 05:08 PM PSTEverybody should bycott these clowns. Year after year they rip people off with their concerts.Ghatebeh in Iran was a symbole of all that's wrong with the Iranian way of doing business. It's funny that they have chosen a bad immitation of Ghatebeh to represent their yearly mascarade !
Don't let your intelligence get insulted year after year.Every year there is some sort of drama involved with these shows.Do you recall last year Dariush the owle of Persian pop insulting the jews ? Their number one customers :-) !! They don't care. But now watch all the iranian jews rush there again...
They don't learn or they have low expectations and they are ok with that.

Iranian production at its best abroad
by why_do_this_if_U_suck_so_bad_at_it (not verified) on Tue Nov 25, 2008 04:33 PM PSTHonestly, why are all Iranian productions so HORRIBLE and embarrassing like this? The facial expressions and bad acting reminds me of Mexican soap operas.
I watch this and cannot imagine any producer in their right mind approving it as is. Is there no quality control? Have you no taste? How about striving for some quality?
Every time I go to my parents’ and turn on the Iranian satellite show, I hope to see something entertaining or at least bearable, but then I cringe at the sight of the poor quality ads and music videos. You would think after 29 years of living abroad, the quality of TV productions would improve by now.
To everyone out there that plays some role in TV productions, please try to improve on the quality, turn on an American or European show to see how they don’t make revolting ads or shows. Or how about taking a class at a local college to learn how this is done? Please try to do a good job and if you can’t, then just please get another job and stop producing garbage for your viewers sake.
God Bless!
