President Ahmadinejad Will Face "Wall of Shame" at the UN Headquarters via Stop Child Executions

The President of Iran will have to get past the "Ahmadinejad Wall of Shame" -- a visual display and demonstration across the United Nations Headquarters -- before entering the opening of the General Assembly. The rally will run from 12-2pm on September 23rd at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza (47th St. & 2nd Ave.) and feature Iranian/American groups each directly challenging Ahmadinejad on the surge in human rights abuses in Iran.

Thanks Darius for sharing. It brings back such lovely memories, I have seen many of her perfomances live in Ahvas in the late 70's, last one I was in 4th grade and she performed in Bashgahe Sahel. There were few other singers there too, But she is the best and will always remain the best. She is a true artist and patriot. Thanks again, MITRA

Wasn't it fun when loads of people, including myself tried to imitate her dancing! My version was a cross between Michael Jackson, Googoosh and Led Zeppelin!
And those mass sudden hairdos! Whole cities with Googoosh wannabes!

And then...

shortly after this concert 98% of iranians wanted to get rid of entertainment like this and voted for an islamic republic. Soon millions will celebrate the 30 anniversary of the islamic revolution and the fact that entertainment like this is still banned in Iran. Congratulations to you all and hope you are happy you havent had to watch Googoosh perform in Iran anymore.

40 years ago she was good. Today she is old news. She is old and she has had a lot of plastic surgery done. And her concerts are horrible because she has that fat guy Mehrdad sing in her concerts. Mehrdad is a no talent hairy monkey.
