harmony: Once Upon A Time
by Abol Hassan Danesh, Sociologist (not verified) on Wed Feb 13, 2008 07:00 AM PSTThere was a country called Iran... people were happy... everybody knew their place in contentment ...the air was clean and water uncontaminated and crystal clean...the streets were clean and not noisy while the cute carriages move people from place to place under green trees...the forests were full ... and the rain was clean not mixed with acid pollution in the air... there were few taxi coming and going every five to ten minutes a source joy for kids in summer when the school was closed...
Until the black heroin came in under the misleading lable of black gold--- from that time on God left Iran for distant and cleaner distiny....

Lyrics
Well Ali Baba had them forty thieves
Sheherezade had a thousand tales
But master you in luck 'cause up your sleeves
You got a brand of magic never fails
You got some power in your corner now
Some heavy ammunition in your camp
You got som punch, pizzazz, yahoo and how
See all you gotta do is rub that lamp
And I'll say
Mister Aladdin, sir
What will your pleasure be?
Let me take your order
Jot it down
You ain't never had a friend like me
No no no
Life is your restaurant
And I'm your maitre'd
C'mon whisper what it is you want
You ain't never had a friend like me
Yes sir, we pride ourselves on service
You're the boss
The king, the shah
Say what you wish
It's yours! True dish
How about a little more Baklava?
Have some of coloumn "A"
Try all of column "B"
I'm in the mood to help you dude
You ain't never had a friend like me
Can your friends do this?
Do your friends do that?
Do your friends pull this out their little hat?
Can you friends go, poof!
Well, looky here
Can your friends go, Abracadabra, let're rip
And then make the sucker disappear?
So doncha sit there slack jawed, buggy eyed
I'm here to answer all your midday prayers
You got me bona fide, certified
You got a genie for your charge d'affaires
I got a powerful urge to help you out
So what-cha wish? I really wanna know
You got a list that's three miles long, no doubt
Well, all you gotta do is rub like so-and oh
Mister Aladdin, sir, have a wish or two or three
I'm on the job, you big nabob
You ain't never had a friend, never had a friend
You ain't never had a friend, never had a friend
You ain't never had a friend like me
You ain't never had a friend like me, hah!
No mention of Mossadegh here either ;0)

Iran has always endured
by Alborzi (not verified) on Tue Feb 12, 2008 10:44 AM PSTIts interesting even the documentary shows that
there has always been changes and through it Iran has become better. Just do not be afraid of the dark.
We can be even better
by Abarmard on Tue Feb 12, 2008 10:27 AM PSTFor a brief period in our long long history we are encountering a different path that the outcome is not yet known. Don't give up on Iran and rather than fantasizing the past, dream a sweet dream of future. You may find a long lasting solution. Believe in our society that will find a way. If you love the west, realize what you like so we don't copy paste that to our society but to implement them once we reach modernity.
Those days are gone.

Didi keh chegouneh goor bahraam gereft?
Those days are gone. Now there is only mulla, akhound, sheikh, oppression, dress code, prison, torture, executions, mofsedo-fel-arz, war, attack, ghods, ...., and nothing else.
Yes, those were the days:
