Re: He was better than the Shah

by Anonymous Farshid (not verified) on

Then why are you (and 4 million other iranians) escaping iran and living outside the islamic republic that he set up?

He was nothing but a murderous lying charlatan. He and his religion and his cult destroyed MY country. Ask any youth in iran today and those who have means want to get out and some want to have nothing to do with the nightmare that is a country no more.

Shah was too good for the kind of people who fell for his pack of lies and marched after him, saw his ugly face on the mood, and found his lousy beard in the middle of koran.

Darius Kadivar

He made a subtle speach but ...

by Darius Kadivar on

As New head of state he was doing the speach he was expected to make. How could it be otherwise ?

I don't think one can truly criticize him of anything in regard to this speach except the irony that he seemed to let a door open to officers of Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi military to dissobey their president. He was ready at this early stage of the War to negotiate with the Iraqi's but was not as indulgent towards the Iranian officers of the Imperial Army he sent to the execution Polls immediately after the revolution. He must have regretted this gesture given that most of these officers executed were highly trained and could have helped Iran win the War at an early stage. Instead it lingered on for 8 years and with the human and material cost we got to know.

In 1988 Khomeiny was to make the famous speach or interview that a Peace treaty with Iraq was like "drinking Poison" ...

N'est pas Monsieur Farrokhzad ? :

Q, A Perfect Example of an IRI Apologist

by Zion on

On Systematic Execution of Minors in Iran:

'Get off this silly notion that IRI is not Iran's government. If IRI is not Iran's government, Iran has NEVER had a government in history, with the possible exception of 1951-53. Since every other one was a dictatorship and in fact LESS democratic than the current one...
We may not agree, but Iran has decided 16 year olds are adults. They can run for office and decide the next President by voting and they can also stand for crimes they have committed...
If Iranians feel like they should make the age higher just because that's what most Western countries do, that's one thing, but to continuously cry foul over criminals and murderous "juveniles" actually trivializes the issue.'

On Khomeini:

'(his) Every word is correct... I know, this somehow still means he's "filth".
Classic case of not thinking straight, and not listening. Such is the rationale of some Iranian friends...The reality is that he was a rational, calculated man and responded accordingly...When pro-War forces try to say IRI is "irrational", this is the perfect response...the only man in our lifetime who actually stopped a real arab take over of our country.'

So Q, you still want to deny you are an IRI apologist living in US? It sure explains your rabid anti-semitism or the constant, almost psychopathic anger you show all over this site.
Why really are you living here?

It is your type who give Iranians a bad image around the world. It is because of people like you that ordinary decent Iranians are labeled as terrorists and terrorist supporters, are denied visas, are stereotyped....

It's just amazing that after all your likes have done to them inside Iran and outside, they still tolerate jerks like you among themselves.

(It's a shame, for instance, that many talented Iranian youth are denied visa while someone like you is so easily allowed to live here. Makes one wonder what the heck they are doing in those damn embassies?)

When pro-War forces try to say IRI is "irrational", this is the perfect response.

And what was the response of iraqis to his plea? A finger and killing of half-a-million iranians with saddam surviving and all arabs helping him out, and destruction of iran that even fanatic pro-IRI could not tolerate living there anymore.

Q

Every word is correct

by Q on

I know, this somehow still means he's "filth".
Classic case of not thinking straight, and not listening. Such is the rationale of some Iranian friends.

The reality is that he was a rational, calculated man and responded accordingly, probably making Saddam's job much harder and forcing him to beg and steal from other Arabs, by appealing to the Iraqi's directly. When pro-War forces try to say IRI is "irrational", this is the perfect response.

To those who constantly worry about "arabs taking over", and accusing IRI of being an arab government, I wonder if you are too blind to see the only man in our lifetime who actually stopped a REAL Arab take over of our country.

In September 1980, nobody gave Iran a chance. Not US, not UK, not France, not even most of the traitors who had fled Iran and were already negotiating a position with the Western powers for after Khomeini's fall. Khomeini understood Iraqi Arabs much better than Saddam understood Iranian Khuzestanis and he used this to maximum advantage.

LOL... Verraji of a pretenuous iranian non-iranian charlatan

by Anonymous question (not verified) on

Khomayni was an Iranian nationalist. He was a religious leader.

If he was an iranian, why did he kill so many iranians, upwards of 40,000 in ten years in prisons. More than Turanian Zahhak, far more than shah and any king of iran?

If he was an iranian, why did he turn the country into such a disaster that YOU and 4 million others had to leave the country for a better life outside their place of birth?

If he was an iranian, why there is not a single PERSIAN word written on his flag but all ARABIC.

If he was an iranian, why the symbol of iran is allah written in the form of an indian god?

If he was an iranian, why the laws were not based on iranian tradition but rather based on an arabic culture and religion?

If he was an iranian, why did he suggest that the Persian Gulf be renamed as Islamic Gulf?

If he was an iranian, why did he suggest that arabic be taught in schools starting from grade 1 even before the children learned Persian?

If he was an iranian, why did he set up a system that assumes iranians and idiots and brainless that need an unelected Vali Faghih to tell them what to do, what to wear, and so on?

If he was an iranian, why did he and his gang tried to destroy iranian traditions like noruz and chahar-shanbeh souri?

If he was an iranian, why did he send "Iranian children's money" to palestinians and lebanon?

And so on an so forth.... He is an indian descendant of Omar, Shemr, and Yazid sent to iran by brits to take iran where we are today!

Assalam o Alyakom va rahmatollah va barakato!

A great speech

by Pejman Baahooshzadeh (not verified) on

This was a great speech. Khomayni was right calling Saddam, "Crazy".

It is great that he calls the Army, the "Iranian Army".

Khomayni goes on to call the war "an illegal intrusion" (tajavoz).

Many years after Khomayni's death the UN declared Saddam the agressor.

Khomayni went on to declare that the Iranian Army is with the Islamic Republic.

It is interesting that he keeps reapeating that it is the "Iranian Nation".

This speech dispels all the false rumors.

Khomayni was an Iranian nationalist. He was a religious leader.

It is interesting that he said that "We, Iranians evicted Mohammad Reza Pahlavi" and the Iraqis must evict Saddam Hussein.

How true his words were, "Saddam is a dangerous man".

What happened to Saddam? He was hanged by the great freedom loving people of Iraq.

As we see today, Iraq's Maliki has the backing of Ayat'Allah Sistani, Ayat'Allah Sadr and Ayat'Allah Hakim, who are good friends with Iran's spiritual leader Ayat'Allah Khamenei.
