Returning to Iran from exile on Feb 11 1979, Khomeini was asked by a foreign reporter how he felt? "Heech!" (Nothing), Khomeini replied. He probably just didn't want to reply to the constant questions. Nevertheless, it is a moment in history frequently recalled by Iranians.

VERY SICK MAN

by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on Mon Feb 18, 2008 12:10 PM PST1. is - UP TO MY OPINION - the most correct translation. In the Air france Plane which was chartered and also paid for insurance by a Iranian wealthy man were 150 Reporters. The Greate Ayattolah (r ) had been a Superman as every body confesses who looks up alone this Video. No other Human Being is ever provided with such a peace of mind even on usual vacation journey to south see. It is said that his majesty was returned on Kish Island from Egypt on this day and had sent 4 warplanes to catch the Air france Plane and bring it to Kish. he wanted to have a last chat with the Liberater of the iranian nation. although he himself never spock out such a word. But the Planes offered themselves as Scourt and flown to Tehran.
2. I should remined once more that the glumming to the past does not help. Those days are over. Likewise reports are - UP TO MY OPINION - are only for ones who loved him. Others better go on distance. writing earthy word, throwing word-stones on each other does not hurt and does not help. In "IRANIAN" is nothing sacred. bnetter try to understand it how it is meant. About Iran-Iraq War
by aaminian on Mon Feb 18, 2008 11:04 AM PSTMr. Carpenter,
Maybe you need a little World History refresher:
1. The Iran-Iraq was an imposed (and master-minded) war by the US and carried out by its crony, the "deposed" president of Iraq. As the master mind behind that war, the US and Iraq are responsible for the loss of all those innocent lives. The US got away with it (as it did with the invasion of Iraq and killings of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis) simply because the US is the most powerfull super power and no body can touch it. By the way, did you hear that your beloved president, King George, just wrote a piece of legislature (which was, by the way, just approved by the Congress!) that would give him immunity from being indicted by the international community for crimes against humanity for his invasion of a soverign nation.
2. Do you have any ideas what lead to the Iranian taking of hostages in 1979?! Does Operation Ajax have any meaning for you?! Does the 1953 coup d'etat against the democratically-elected of the then Prime Minister of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Mosadegh, by the US ring a bell?! As a result of that illegal and shameful action by the Truman administration some 300 patriotic Iranians lost their lives. Now, do you think that the hostage crisis was really a crisis compared to that hideous coup d'etat? I, along with the majority of Iranians think NOT.
As far as anything else related to the ruling fundamentalist government of Iran is concerned, the Iranians got themselves into this mess and you can be rest assured we'll get ourselves out of it just as we've done so throughout our 300-year history. The last thing we need is advice from people that've far too many times meddled in our internal affairs resulting in disastrous consequenses.

by Kaveh Nouraee on Mon Feb 18, 2008 10:35 AM PSTfrom a sociopathic mass murderer?
Moussavi never felt anything because first that's what murderers do. The son of a whore wasn't even Iranian. He was an Arab worshipping Indian. The same kind of mentality in the idiot who shot and killed Gandhi.
Ghotbzadeh, got what he deserved, for bringing Evil to Iran !!!!
by Tahirih (not verified) on Mon Feb 18, 2008 09:39 AM PSTInteresting Ghotbzadeh conceiled his foolish remark to the west ,and he was killed by the regime!!!
This reminds me that TRUTHFULLNESS is the foundation of all human virtues!!!!!
Just listen to what God has said about the clergy in Iran:
""Leaders of Religion, in every age, have hindered their people from attaining the shores of eternal salvation, inasmuch as they held the reins of authority in their mighty grasp.
Some for the lust of leadership, others through want of knowledge and understanding, have been the cause of the deprivation of the people.
God will hold responsible religious leaders for this tragedy, who have presumed to speak for Him throughout history. Their attempts to make the Word of God a PRIVATE preserve, and its exposition a means for PERSONAL aggrandizement, have been the greatest single handicap against which the advancement of civilization has struggled"".
Regards,
Tahirih
He said a nice thing....
by siamak64 (not verified) on Mon Feb 18, 2008 09:34 AM PSTrelative to the things he said later on when was in power:
"We do not worship Iran, we worship Allah. For patriotism is another name for paganism. I say let this land [Iran] burn. I say let this land go up in smoke, provided Islam emerges triumphant in the rest of the world."
The likes of Hossein Derakhshan and other so-called-Iranians who are aware of Khomeini's true nature and support him nonetheless are the worse anti-Iranians of all. These people will "let this land [Iran] burn" to achieve their own agenda.
Fuck Them All,
Siamak,
Maybe his answer had to do with the flight cabin pressure?
by hassan Ghardash (not verified) on Mon Feb 18, 2008 09:31 AM PSTIn general the personality of the person of an Akhond is like a robot. They are trained to be stoned face and never ever show emotions. I grow up with few of them living in my neighborhood and recall them being unfriendly and tough to mingle with. In my opinion, most of them are the most heartless people around. So, I am not so surprised that this Akhond Khomeini response was what he said. He probably meant it, because he had no feelings. Maybe the flight cabin pressure sucked his feeling out of his sole. Oh, well … why say more?

The legacy that the man has
by sad (not verified) on Mon Feb 18, 2008 08:10 AM PSTThe legacy that the man has left behind is positive proof of that statement each and every day in Iran. What did Khomayni mean by the "nothing" comment?
by John Carpenter III (not verified) on Mon Feb 18, 2008 06:54 AM PSTThe Ayat-Allah Ruh-Allah Moosavi Khomayni basicly replied to the question in an Iranian Shia manner. Iran has been Muslim since 636 A.D.
See:
//encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761567300_10/I...
The Prophet Mohammad, the Jesus of Moslems in his last speech said:
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white - except by piety and good action.
See: //www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/prophet/l...
Nationalism is anti-Islamic. Nationalism views location of birth as a status symbol.
To view oneself as "better" just because he is "Iranian" or "Persian" is in Islam arrogant.
Upon his return the Ayat-Allah Khomayni felt "nothing" because his god, "ALLAH" created the earth for all humans.
Khomayni's mission was to revive Shia Islam in Iran. He failed. The Iran-Iraq War was a disaster. one million dead. The hostage crisis, 444 days, was a blunder created by the Mujahedin Khalq. Let us not forget that the Mujahedin Khlaq is communist. And the Salman Rushie death sentence made Rushdie the most popular man in the non-muslim world. Before Khomayni's fatwa no one in the whole world knew who Salman Rushdie was. It was Khomayni who made Rushdie a "New York Times" bset seller Author of the novel, "Satanic Verses".
