Long live Pahlavis

by naderrrrrrrr (not verified) on

Iran belong to Iranian not Arabs, it is funny after revolution second language in schools teach Arabic but iranian kids on their own learn and speak English better. And those who supported this revolution why are they sending their kids to USA & Europe for education why not sending them to Arabestan or Libya or Syria. These Arabs will be remove from Iran

As Mast que bar mast

by Hajminator on

Zion, don’t blend up everything with everything. Iranians didn’t make a revolution to have islamists as rulers! Iranians wanted a social change and the right to choose. There was a federation of different factions like Nationalists, Democrats, Mojaheds, Leftists and Islamists who made a front against what they called the dictatorship of Shah as he represented the main and the only party ruling Iran at the time.

All these movements have been deceived (expect Islamists) by Khomeini as he was another monarch more blood thirstier than everyone before him. The fact that Khomeini became the leader in Iran was in reality something orchestrated by the western countries. He was kept in safety in Neauphle-le-Château in France before the revolution and I can say that his place was highly protected. Western countries – Israel included - wanted Khomeini, an islamist, to rule the major country in the middle-east. What you say about “others islamists followed” is true but there is a rhyme of poem from Nasser-khossro which says – As mast que bar mast, all our misery comes from our ignorance, if you prefer ... So go and first blame western countries that you cherish so on what they did ... We are blaming ourselves on what we did don’t worry about it.

First of all, "Reza Khan" was Reza Shah for 15 years.

Secondly, where did Zion in his comments mention any support for the Pahlavis?

It seems like you exaggerate a lot of things and twist things around just to suit your agenda :-))))

I would be careful not to paint all iranians with the same brush.
as a jew you should be thankful that the persians saved your ancestors' asses from the assyrians. without darius and his generosity, you'd probably not even be here!
persians and jews have had close ties for many generation, in fact there's a ton of high-ranking iranian jews in your government.

Manoucher Avaznia and MRX1,

My dear friends and fellow Iranians. I know that in January 1979 the population of Iran 30 to 36 million. The 70 million I quoted was just an exaggeration to get accross the point that the Great Iranian Revolution that overthrew the despotic dictatorial rule of the Pahlavis was not a staged revolution by the French, and in particular Air France which gave the Ayat'Allah Ruh'Allah Moosavi Khomayni back to Iran. And it wasn't the British, Germans or Americans that got rid of the Shah it was the Iranians that overthrew the Shah.

As for Zion's comments, how can he support the Pahlavis. Wasn't Reza Khan, the first Pahlavi, a supporter of Hitler? Isn't that why Reza Khan was exiled?

Zion

It is my business

by Zion on

Your revolution is the direct cause of the upheaval of Islamic fundamentalism in the region, the birth of Hizballah and the trend of suicide bombing that has been killing Jews and Westerners as well as many muslims all around the world ever since. Let alone the fact that the only natural and foreseeable outcome of your glorious revolution now officially threatens to annihilate an entire nation state.
(It was foreseeable even back then to anyone who had an ounce of functioning brain. You got precisely what you wanted, what you were dreaming for. It could be that you were too stupid to realize what the consequences were of what you were asking for, but that changes nothing.)

You can't stand non-iranians in your holy websites? Too bad. Get used to it. I can't stand anti-semite creepy hypocrite filth who pretend to be otherwise either. So what?

There, you finally got a reply from me. Go and rejoice.

What dumb people will do

by Mehdi on

We were so naive, so eneducated, so unaware of the rest of the world. We were just following a flood, not really knowing who started the flood or why - believing any nonsense that we were being fed. Not much has changed today. we can still see those who follow anybody who promises them the heavens. Some think that George Bush is an angel! Maybe he will bomb our country and maybe that will help us!!!! This nation needs to get out more :)

I can't believe there are still mo&^*s that think khomeini was a saint.
this p.o.s. was nothing but an illiterate british dog- bred and trained, like his dad to finally land iran into the hands of the brits once and for all!
in fact, they wanted to ruin iran in 63, but the kennedy assasination threw a wrench into their plans!
our problem is that the so-called pseud-roshanfekran got brainwashed by a dips*&t akhoond with no mercy or love for iran and its people- he came in and gave the order to kill tens of thousands of soldiers, officers, and innocent people as if they were cats and dogs! psychos like khalkahli, who used to kill cats when he was a loony kid, unleashed their vengence on the poor, unsuspecting people of iran.
all I have to say, is that I'm sad that our generation was the one that had to live through this nightmare! I pray for the day soon that we can finally be rid of akhoonds once and for all and to be able to go back to our beautiful homeland and once again be proud of our culture and heritage- maybe we'll get to root for our national soccer team back at aryamehr stadium!

Abarmard

People should have calmed down

by Abarmard on

If then, when Shah had come on TV and announced that he was wrong and will change the constitution, allows freedom of speech and press, people should have calmed down with uprising control to make sure that would happen and stop the revolution for the sake of reform.

But similar to today, many thought that the system is not reformable. I disagreed then, and I disagree now. If the society fights for its rights, the reform is possible.

Shah did many mistakes, one being not allowing the "opposition" to have a voice, so people be politically aware. However, the main problem after the revolution was not Khomaini coming to Iran as the Islamic Leader, who was not suppose to take charge of the government, but the problem was the war, which was supported by the West, especially the US.

Iranian politicians who left Iran were incompetent since Shah did not allow any advisers to tell him the truth. They were frightened of Shah's anger. Iranian people who took charge were inexperienced and as you saw in the movie "Persepolise", a city worker that used to clean the streets took an office and responsibility based on his loyalty rather than specialty. So one could not expect too much from the revolutionary forces, that at the time had the support of almost the entire population.

It took the system a long time to educate the uneducated class, and change the loyal families, from those who were powerless to elites. And that's the meaning of revolution. I recall that our neighbors would spit on girls who had no Hejab, not the " pasdars" or hezbollahis alone. they were heated by the change. Emotions took the best out of people's logic and common sense.

It's foolish to think that people did overthrow Shah because they were stupid, but it's reasonable to say that people had no democratic, political experience as how to run a independent Iranians system that is "democratic". the rest is history...

Now however things have change from the social perspective and if we planted the seeds 30 years ago, eventually we need to realize some fruits of it before we take its roots out and replant another tree. Similar to Shah's era, if the tree is infested with worms, we can clean it rather than kill it.

The argument that the Islamic Republic is not reformable is a valid argument, yet I don't believe it and perhaps many Iranians inside don't fully agree either.

ZION - Why don't you start a commission?

by I Have a Crush on Alex Trebek on

You are so creepy. I can't stand non-Iranian creeps who lurk on iranian sites to tell us our problems. Aren't there enough lame Zionist sites you can join instead? These people didn't want a dictator and they still don't. It's not your business. We didn't have the UN to usher in a government and land for us, we've been doing it ourselves.

But alas, you aren't entertained by being amongst your own. You gotta spread your wings I guess. Yuck. Why aren't you living in Israel btw? I wonder if you're like my Israeli friends who love Israel, like we love Iran, but admit it has 99 problems and a bitch aint one.

I wonder how many of the people in these videos now realize how many people around the world have suffered because of their actions and their ideological lunacy? That they deserved all that they have had to go through ever since, if not more? That much more is coming to them before what they started back then is totally over, and that they have no one else to blame but their sorry selves?

The Shah in 1979 was a piece of Sh**

by Jamshid Niavarani (not verified) on

To the 70 million Iranians who came out to the streets in 1979 and took down the statues of the Pahlavi dictatorship the Shah was a piece of Sh**. And anyone who supported the Shah was a piece of Sh**. Historians have proven this over and over again.

Please keep Amélie Poulin's music far from this!

I was pretty shocked to hear that Khomeinists used a nice and romantic movie soundtrack such as Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amélie Poulin in this propaganda video of a régime that is well-known for its 30 years violation of liberty. Thanks for reminding us of the uniform voice of MILLIONS of Iranians who demanded an end to the monarchy.

People who claim that US "planned" these historic scenes and planted the same seed in the brain of all these "sheep" should feel ashamed of themselves.
