To Yet.....
by Kaveh Nouraee on Tue Mar 04, 2008 04:15 PM PSTYou are right, they are VERY scared. As they should be.
The past 30 years have been nothing more than a power play. The mollahs are not truly interested in restoring Islam to Iran, as much as they are interested in wielding the power once held by the monarchy. I guess if you want to break it down to basic human instinct, the mollahs were jealous and coveted the nation's wealth for themselves. They played on the religious fears of the faithful and the frustrations of the more secular lower socio-economic classes who had yet to see any of the fruits of the reforms that started so many years before. The average Iranian never fully understood that all economies flow from the top to the bottom. Combine that with our inherent impatience, and you have a contributing factor to the events leading to Feb. 1979.
Now, as we come upon 30 years of this nightmare, with history having a tendency to repeat itself (1925-1953, 1953-1979, 1979-?), the IRI is hell-bent on maintaining power, so they make these amusing cartoons.
I don't think anyone from Disney/Pixar is going to hire any of these animators anytime soon.
It just shows how scared the regime is today
by yetanotherexmuslim on Tue Mar 04, 2008 04:00 PM PSTMost people would take this as a sign of fear by the regime.
They think we are still at the early days of the revolution when people had gone nuts and turned over their kin to these thugs.
The few supporters they have are the ones on their payroll so maybe they think the sons and daughters of their servants will turn against them?
Desperation has set in
by mahmoudg on Tue Mar 04, 2008 07:45 AM PSTThis looks to me like a desparate tactic IRI has deployed to encourage citizens to spy on each other. Reminds one of the tactics Goebelz played out for his master Hitler. Now the Intelligence agency is playing it for the Iranian Hitler Khamenei.
I lol-ed throughout. which
by sohrab (not verified) on Tue Mar 04, 2008 07:29 AM PSTI lol-ed throughout. which probably wasn't the response they were lookin for

McCain looks RETARDED!
by IraniIrooni (not verified) on Mon Mar 03, 2008 09:10 PM PSTNot nearly as bad as Bush, but getting there. Why are all of these neocons retarded looking?
Good digital animation!
by farrad02 on Mon Mar 03, 2008 07:08 PM PSTGood digital animation!
And the script reads like something you'd find on Hoder's blog!
Shame on IRI propoganda...
by jamshid on Mon Mar 03, 2008 06:42 PM PST... for pitting mothers against sons, just as in 1979. How many good freedom fighters are going to land in Evin due to 113 calls by hezbollahis?
By the way, a similar video should be made of the Carter administration's plot against the shah and support of khomeini. Now that would be closer to the truth.
Pot calling the Kettle black?
by Anonymous8 (not verified) on Mon Mar 03, 2008 05:48 PM PSTWhat's truly hilarious is the response by pro war groups like MEMRI and the usual suspects here at iranian.com.
Let me see if I have this correctly: you spend all day accusing everyone and their brother of being an agent of the mullahs. You think IRI is manipulating your life even in Europe and America. You think ayatollahs are working for the British and Americans are innocent Iran doosts.
And now you think these conspiracy theories in a CARTOON are out of order?
You hypocrites go through more baseless conspiracy theories in one hour than IRI does in one year!
stupid Iranian mullahs brainwashing
by hajiagha on Mon Mar 03, 2008 04:04 PM PST//hajiagha.tripod.com
sucks to Mullahs please attack on Mullahs and make us happy. this stupid mullahs never learn any things, they are so dangerous they are terrorist, they pay and support terrorist. stolen large money from are oil to bring out and have fun , Israel must attack on Iran and bring peace and love to are world
You're hilarious.........
by Kaveh Nouraee on Mon Mar 03, 2008 02:34 PM PSTTrust me, if the Israelis did this, they would have done a MUCH better job of it. They have greater resources and would put out a higher quality product if it was theirs.
The production quality of this piece is at the same level you would find in a middle school audio visual class. Very amateurish, at best.
MEMRI is bullshit, run by Israeli intelligence

They always take things out of proportion. This is no different than the routine demonization of Iran in American in everything from News to History Channel. It's biased, but it's not big deal.
WOW!!!! A Bit scary, Nothing short of Stalinism
by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on Mon Mar 03, 2008 01:04 PM PSTJohn McCain, George Soros, Bill Smith and Gene Sharp speak Persian so fluently!!! Who knew?
* Apparently the Ministry of Information in tehran.
The five men sitting in the park with the younger guys "playing" behind them with a ball is so staged.
+ No daubt, it is staged. the actors are no Professionals.
They were even reading from cue cards...look at their eyes.
* Yes they are. The film - so i think - wants by no means denmonstrate the modern Iranian Art of Filmmaking. It followes other purposes.
The rest of it looks like a badly filmed novella on Univision.
The Intelligence Ministry of the IRI? Now THAT"S funny!!!
+ of course that is funny. For me. Not for those who are threatend and are to be teached how to defend themselves and thier country.
+Pathetic propaganda by a pathetic bunch of people.
they count - i would mean - 70 Millions.
Nothing short of Stalinst tactics. Pitting mothers against their children.
+ As the "mother" of maxim gorky so the mother of the experienceless young man in the film.
It reflects the moral bankruptcy of..... those 4 criminals? have they ever had any moral? So also no Bankrupcy.
I actually like the beginning
* and i the beginning through all the film up to its end.
but then it got a bit too much
= for me it remained too little.
If they kept it simple and let the people decide at the end would've been fine
* Tell them, write them, help them, please be so kind.
but as soon as they asked people to call the suspicious behavior then it got bad
** Hier I am absolutly of the same opinion. It has been not necessary at all, realy too much. She/he who can understand the meaning of the film does not need the remark. and the one who does not understand it is not helped by the remark. Mr. Abarmard, please: Do you have experiences in Film-critics? your judgment is objective and constructive. asking poeple to call had made the film from point of view of Art of Filmmaking. But hier seems that nobody the point is not Art of Filmmaking but political teaching. also from this point of view the remark was not necessary at all.
They need to mature up a bit and try to at least act democratic!
+ Do you mean they should at least try as if...?
I do not find anything undemocratically in the film.
Greeting
