Visiting one of Yazdgerd III's five daughters

This is funny and informative. These guys go to Aghda, Yazd, to visit the gravesite of Pars Banoo, one of Yazdgerd III's five daughters. They try to find out about the monument and they eventually do, by reading the plaques and signs in the mausoleum, no thanks to a local man who tries to tell them this is a Moslem monument and that the adjacent ab anbar (water reservoir), erected by a Zaraostrian family belongs to Imam Hossein!. Imam Hossein and his brother the erstwhile Imam Hassan before Karbala slaughtered thousands of Iranians and turned the Karoun river's water into red. The story that one of Yazdegard's daughter got married to Imam Hossein is absolutely false and was made up during the Saffavid reign in Iran. The reason being to create a spirit of religious nationalism in Iran which during the reign of the Saffavids was at war with the Turks. However considering everything let us enjoy the free meals and drinks served during the ten days of Muharram with wine and Black label whisky.

Getting the facts ...

Getting the facts right does not mean you hate anyone. The facts are that it is not the grave of "Shah Hussein" it is that of Pars Banoo. Saying it belongs to Hussein simply indicates ignorance. In fact there was no "Shah Hussein" at that time. The only king Hussein I know of is Sultan Hussein the Safavi who lived some 1000 years after Pars Banoo.

We need to preserve and acknowledge our heritage in its correct form.

There are drawings and writings on the walls. very sad. these historic site worth preserving.

Iranian love Imam Hossein is their choice and you have to respect

that.Why is it ok for millions of Americans to love Jesses he wasn't

American he was a Jew. millions of European love him they even call him

God.The same European who killed 6000000 jews.Why can't we love 

Imam Hossein. being an arab dosn't make him a bad person.A very big

number of Iranians are Arab(khozeston,persian golf Islands...)there are

millions of sayeds(descendents of Prophet Mohamed)in Iran should

we be ashame of them because thay are Arabs? If you read it said
