Philosophy of liberty

Our right to life, liberty, and property

The philosophy of liberty is based on self-ownership. This simple but elegant and hard-hitting animation will explain exactly what that means. It's a great tool anyone can use to educate children and adults about our right to life, liberty, and the property we create - and our responsibility to think, speak and act. Abarmard

Could you please explain to me how you got from this video to justifying Hezbollah and Hamas?

It sounds pretty potty to me, but then I might be missing something....

(By the way, I don't agree with the entire video, for various reasons, e.g. the problems of 'consent', 'coercion' , 'property' as a concept except as a current necessary perception etc. or perhaps the definitions of the various concepts need to be fleshed out...As an overall very simple to understand video, I think it works rather well however.)

I'm rather perplexed by the responses here.

You specifically mentioned Hizbollah and Hamas, and yes they are barbarian fascists. If you consider them true representatives of `Palestinians`, then you could extend the adjective.
As for these `palestinian`s` rights, what rights did they have precisely that has been taken away from them? There were a few villagers in the land of Israel. Many remained there and have become Israeli citizens. The rest chose to move away somewhere else. There was no homeland for anyone. Those arabs living there had not build any prosperous or not prosperous separate country there to be able to claim any rights. Israel is a legitimate nation, sanctioned by League of nations and united nations on the land that historically belonged and still belongs to the Jewish people.

How come none of you are not concerend with millions of hinus and sikhs that had to move out of their `homeland` for the ilsmaic republic of Pakistan to be formed for `pure` muslims? How about Serbs who had to evacuate Bosnia or Kosovo, or Croats and muslims who had o evacuate Serbia?

You can keep linking to stupid biased anti-Israel crap all you want. It won`t change the facts, and please stop playing the ``objective`` bystander. Your positions clearly show you for who you are.
Spare us the theatricals. Ok?

Dear Zion

I hope that you are not offended. There were some groups of "uncivilized" people that used to live somewhere. I am a human being and see what I see. What happened to those people?

When I saw this explaining liberty, I noticed that the Rights that is explained here was taken from certain "uncivilized" and "barbaric" people. That's why I made that comment. I am entitled to mistakes, but the more I research and learn the more I close my mind to justify the actions done to those "Terrorists", "Uncivilized","barbaric", "Killers" who want nothing more in life than just make the lives of "innocent" Israelis hell. I am not that naive, not anymore. There is a humanistic factor that every men and women should be aware of. I believe that there is a solution, Israel must remain, but might need to change direction.

I do not want anyone here to think that I am against the State of Israel, I criticize the actions of any governments, but I am not in any way or form believe that Israel should not exist. On the contrary I believe that Israel needs to exist by acting more responsible and begin to fit in the region not as a foreigner but a nation of ME.

Tear down that WALL

by Salar (not verified) on

I don’t care much about Israeli and Palestinian issues, they can go at it until the end of time for all I care. But there are very simple facts on the ground here. The existence of Israel and its aggression are the main causes for the reaction, namely Hezbollah and Hamas. They just feed on each other, they need each other to exist. The same goes for IRI and Israel, they are two faces of the same coin: aggression, torture, and murder against humanity and humans right to liberty, all in the name of some fictitious religions. Aggression creates reactionary aggression, plain and simple. Somewhere this vicious cycle needs to be stopped. How about those who hold the power and 300+ nuclear warheads start easing up a bit and letting go of their great wall of discrimination and separation, maybe then peace will have a chance.

Great Video

by Zion on

Thanks.
And no Abarmard, this video does not justify those gangs. They are Islamic ideological terror groups, they demand submission to the will of allah, were the individual does not belong to himself and has no right over his life, but being a creature of allah belongs to him and has to submit to the higher will. That is what Islam means. It does not justify any genocidal attempt by any secular group for palestinians either because their claim against the existence of Israel is based on the notion that a Jew can`t be in any position of power over a muslim or an arab, and a s a consequence the Jewish people do not have a right to form a democratic government with self rule in arab/muslim lands.
The video defends clearly the open society based on free market and democratic government. The basis of Israel. Anathema to all those gangs that are against her. Nice to see the mask fall off to reveal so much in the past few weeks by the way.

Does this justifies
