Ey vala Hajiagha
by Anonymously456 (not verified) on Thu Apr 24, 2008 09:23 PM PDTDamet garm hajiagha, you told the truth but you should know that all Iranians who still mourn for Arabs like; Husanin, Fatemeh, Ali...... have no brain.
Stupidity has no limits
by Anonymously (not verified) on Thu Apr 24, 2008 09:13 PM PDTI don't understand why we Iranians should care about some Arabs and what they did in 1500 years ago. We are Iranians, we are Aryans, why should we consider us as Arabs or be interested on Arab wild history? Fatemeh was Mohammad's daughter and died of natural causes. She was Ali's wife and after her death Ali not only didn't care about her loose but also married many other women and celebrated with his new wives. Why the hell we Iranians have to mourn her death after 1500 years, wear black and cry for an Arab gal who had nothing in common with us Iranians. the same story is about Sajjad, the son of Husain. When his father was killed by yazid, he celebrated with Yazid and lived for many years in the same place with his father's killer and did not care about Husain's killing. Why we Iranians should every year mourn the death of an Arab(Husain) who killed millions of Iranians and took their women and children to slavery? Stupidity has no limits !!!!

yet another reason
by Anonymusic (not verified) on Thu Apr 24, 2008 07:09 PM PDTAs always, it's the job of "others" to work and make things happen for progress of humanity and it's the job for some Iranians inside and outside Iran to stick to their ever "evolving" rituals of insanity and crying. these people deserve what they have and they deserve what "others" have in bag for them.

You come off as sounding too pretentious
by Mehdi A. (not verified) on Thu Apr 24, 2008 06:03 PM PDTWho are you to decide what is "normal" and what is not?
"I estimate that in less than 30 years, women's hijab will be a thing of the past"
-You sound like some kind of cultural colonialist, why should you decide how Iranian women want to dress?
Even though I think your comment was meant to be well-intentioned, it comes off sounding no different from those that are in power today.
"All those uneducated people in the villages need to be hooked up to satellite TV real fast"
-oh yeah because everything on satellite TV is sooo educational and beneficial for society. (I'm being sarcastic)
(were you born in the US? Have you ever been to Iran?)
I call this progress
by Mehdi on Thu Apr 24, 2008 05:28 PM PDTMaybe in another 10 years, we'll see "Roze-Rap" or Islamic Rap. Gradually the "external influence" is affecting Iran. Natural evolution taking place. As long as Iran manages to stay away from another war, "revolution" or anything stupid like that, progress is inevitable. It may take another 30 years before Iran could be considered "normal." If things progress at the current speed, I estimate that in less than 30 years, women's hijab will be a thing of the past. But it does depend greatly on how smart Iranians are. It doesn't depend much on what the hardliners think. Evolution is inevitable. Iranians could make it go even faster by choosing really smart strategy and avoiding violence and destruction. A little patience is definitely needed. All those uneducated people in the villages need to be hooked up to satellite TV before real fast speed is possible ;)

Anonymous123 (not verified)Thu Apr 24, 2008 02:06 PM PDT
