by jamshid on Wed Feb 13, 2008 12:35 AM PSTIn this video, at 0:55, the pictures and names of some individuals are displayed whom the report correctly claim that they were imprisoned by Savak. I recognize two of them whom I considered "heroes" 30 years ago when I was younger and a university student.
These individuals and other political prisoners of those times were mostly Islamists and leftists. They were the very same people who ultimately succeeded in bringing khomeini to us.
Today, some of these very individuals are in position of power or advisor within the IRI, brutalizing Iran's citizens, the same citizens who once were fooled by them.
Alas, I was too naive to understand that they belonged in jail in order to protect Iran and Iranians from what we see in Iran today. I was a fool to support their release. Unfortunately, the shah's regime had no propoganda mechanism to inform the people of who really these bastards were and why they belonged in jail.
To all my Iranian countrymen and women: Ask yourself when did exactly all these western anti-shah propoganda, such as the one in this video, began? Why did they all began after 1972-73, after NIOC had become one of the world's powerful oil entities? If the Westerner cared about Iranians, why didn't they began their support of anti-shah propoganda before 1972? Why suddenly in 1972-73?
Similar propoganda, both in Iran an outside, were all that we Iranians needed in order to become convinced. I was one of them. I was convinced. I fault the shah's regime's propoganda arm for sitting idle and not countering these false information campaings, for not coming forward and exposing these lies and traitor individuals displayed in 0:55 of this video for what they really were.
Indeed...
by Anonymous till iran is free (not verified) on Tue Feb 12, 2008 08:01 PM PSTIndeed savak was awful. Had it been more effective and had it got rid of mullas like khomeini, rafsanjani, khalkhali, ..., rajavis, ..., we would not have been in such a disaster for the past 30 years.
Had it been more effective in pruning these religious and leftist criminals, an endless number of innocent iranians had not lost their lives in execution chambers of khomeini or khomeini's war with iraq. Maybe some 500,000 people had been saved and millions of families were not doomed by loss of their loved ones under torture or in war.
Had savak been more effective in identifying criminals and thugs, we could be at least as prosperous as any of the gulf states and our young girls did not have to take the oldest profession in those states to minimally survive.
The Shah's highest SAVAK men turned to Khomeini
by John Carpenter III (not verified) on Tue Feb 12, 2008 05:43 PM PSTThe Shah's strongest SAVAK man Hossein Fardoust turned to Ayat-Allah Ruh-Allah Moosavi Khomayni after February 11, 1979.
General Hossein Fardoust helped change SAVAK into "Dastgah Ettelaat".
It was the Shah's men killed before and after the Iranian revolution.
Blame all ills of Iranian society on the Pahlavy dynasty. The Pahlavis were and are SATANIC.

Know Thy Enemy...
by Wise Anonymous (not verified) on Tue Feb 12, 2008 03:00 PM PSTThe biggest contributor on this site is the honorable Mister Doctor Faribors Maleknasri, M.D.
I advice everyone to carefully read all of his postings. They are highly educational and most valuable.
Why?
Because he represents the best and the brightest of the gang that has been suffocating iran and iranians in the name of God, Islam, and Revolution, for 30 years now.
Because he represents the abyss that we are in, the mindset that we cannot relieve ourselves from, maybe even the characters that shah did not want to hand in the country to until he was forced to.
Because he represents our sorry dark future, the people that we have to coexist with who do not want coexistence. The kind who easily rule out 2500 years of history to justify 30 years of oppression.
Because he represents our sad story of poor education, exaggerations, lies and deceits, anti-iranianism cloaked under religious fanaticism, tight control of wealth and daily lives of people who do not want to be controlled with the aid of a ruthless god and a deceitful religion, and denial of those who think differently.
How can we ever change iran for better with likes of doc amongst us. We are indeed deadlocked!

For those who are wondering what the documentary says
by Parham on Tue Feb 12, 2008 12:54 PM PSTIn brief, this is a Swiss documentary on Savak, its operations in Switzerland and the consequences of a student "raid" at the Iranian consulate at the time, in the mid seventies.
I'm sure you understood the first part where the Shah says that there are 3 thousand political prisoners, whereas the Amnesty report states that there are between 25,000 to 100,000 of them in Iran.
Then, they show footage of an anti-Shah/anti-Savak rally that takes place in Geneva and Zurich, and they interview an Iranian student who has been interrogated by the Savak on a trip back to Iran. The student says he has been under surveillance and that he suspects the Swiss authorities to have a hand in this surveillance, as the Savak has a lot of precise information about who visited him and what he said on the phone. They also talk about how the Savak recruited students at the time to get information about other students.
The next part is about the raid and how what the students suspected about their surveillance was proven to be true by the documents found at the consulate. The documentary says that following the handing of these documents to the Swiss authorities, the Swiss find out that in fact the HQ of the Savak in Europe is in Geneva, and consequently, they expel its head in this city, a certain Ahmad Malek-Madani. However, they also find out that the overall head of the operations in Europe is ambassador Khansari, but the federal authorities refuse to expel him thereafter because of pressure from the Iranian government, considering the volume of trade (mostly exports of arms to Iran) between the two countries.
They also mention that Swiss businessmen working in Iran have notified the authorities that they do not feel as welcome as before there.
The documentary ends there.
Hope this has been helpful.

I do not know where he lives, what he does and how he arranges to put his odd posts? If someone knows him please introduce him to Iranians. He must be a fanatic Islamist, a dangerous devotee of the IRI.
Dictator(s)
by Pouyan (not verified) on Tue Feb 12, 2008 12:12 PM PSTThere was a dependent dictator called Shah. Its Savak was swelling a national budget to protect this megalomania Shah, who flaunted "the shadow of God on earth".
There is now a bunch of Mullahs. All dictators. Their Savama plunder the national budget to kill, torture, maim, and control the whole nation.
They are not God's shadow but God's state.
Shame on those who support any dictator.

NO one dared to say anything againast Shah or Savak?.
by Faribors Maleknasri M.D. (not verified) on Tue Feb 12, 2008 10:27 AM PST1.There were a lot of poeple who spoke publicly against the TAGHUT. A big number of them were SAVAK colboratores. They taked openly against TAGHUT in order to find out who else is against that Systen of DADDAN and SSAGAN. very soon knew every body: She/He who is AGAINST does not talk about it. they waited for the signal of Imam Khomeini. It came - as far as is known - at the beginning of 1978. Then came very open the protests, then begann the - in the human history till then unknown - the Islamic Revolution. It will be - so God will - a permanent revolution a real Revolution purely iranian based on the struggle of ahuromazda against Ahriman. The true revolutionaries , I mean those 30 Million Iranians who founded thier ISLAMIC REPUBLIC of IRAN 1979 and are living there since then and willing to protect what they have achieved during the last 30 years and today count 7ty million, assume that the revolution continues till reappearing of mahdi(s).
2. There were also several Ignorants who were, really on behalve of reasonable causes, unsatisfied and spoke openly. these individuals landed soon in SAVAKS Prisons. In some cases they had to sign that they realy love his majesty and respect her majesty and are ready to serve and so on. then they came free.
3. nearly every body became every now and then an offer to co-work with SAVAK just for a little mony.
4. There were also some criminals who came free after SAVAK intervention if they were ready to work for the TAGHUT organisation.
5. It happend offen that if a person spoke against TAGHUT he was directly asked: Do you work for SAVAK?
6. It happend offen that SAVAK-CO-Workes explored other Co-workers not knowing that they have just a colleague on hand. sooner or later was the case cleared.
7. Does any one know more examples?
Thanks God those devilish times are over just once for ever. they may never come back.
8. I think in Today Iran constructive critisism is possible. In contrary pleading to destruction the constitution is not allowed.
9 In the times of TAGHUT was that systen just not reformable. Only a revolution could help. I am,for my part, happy for the couragious Iranians who took a heart and throw away the TAGHUT. They were encouraged by a few words of Imam Khomeini(r). Inthe reality what the Iranians have today come from him. he has never never wanted any reward. he loved Iranians and Iranians loved and will love him till to eternity.
10. The situation was just like this: If somebody appeared late for example just to a party or some invitation and said: well we just came and could not catch any BUS. So he was directly asked: DO you want to say SHAH is bad? so was it and so will never be again. Not only because the most last iranian Kaiser is not alive any more. God may foregive him.
So let us turn things in the right light : If NO one dared to say anything againast Shah or Savak it was not because that the nation wanted to live with that TAGHUT. the real reasons were different.Greeting

by piccolina on Tue Feb 12, 2008 09:47 AM PSTYes, it was Khoda Shah Mihan, and no one dared ask why Shah came before Mihan. But now, you claim people have become more brave? I don't think so, they don't dare talk about Mullahs' abuses...and now the slogan is "akhoond, akhoond and akhoond", screw the people and the country too, it's all about bechap bechap. That lazy akhoond mentality has taken over the entire country, and the lazy, tan parvari va shekam parvari permeates the entire society. Everyone is out to make a quick buck and everyone else's expense. In Iran, there is no civility in Iran, no refaghat, no hamrangi.
During the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavis there were about 300 political prisoners in Iran. Now 300 political prisoners are executed on a daily basis; most of them face trumped-up charges such as possession and sale of narcotics, alcohol, and satellite and receivers.
Women are second-class citizens, and have become the “Rosa Parks” of Iran. The must get in through the back door of buses and stay in the back of buses. The are denied basic right. The akhoonds have "gashteh ershad" to patrol the streets and pick-up women for "bad hejabi". With all its socio-economic, and environmental problems, bad hejabi should be the last thing the government needs to worry about, but its high on their agenda. Any means of terror and intimidation is used to keep the masses down, and no one dares say "boo".
During the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the People’s Mojahedeen of Iran (MKO) accused the Shah of being a puppet of the CIA and a tool of the United States Imperialism. They, along with the Fadayi Guerrillas assassinated American attaches and Iranian officers from the police, shahrbani and the gen d’armerie. Now, the MKO are working hand in hand with the U.S. troops in Iraq; they proudly declared themselves as the first ones to “tattle” and notify the US and the West of Iran’s nuclear development and capabilities. Who is the American stooge now?
So, when you sit there and wonder what happened to "these people" perhaps you should be wondering what you can do for Iran and its people.
I also recommend you watch this:
