What a disgrace! This is PERSIAN GULF for pete's sake, and these guys are simply asking the U.S. warships to identify themselves -- a normal and logical practice for a sovereign nation to exercise facing foreign presece in its territories!

In the lack of a backbone among the regional sheikhdoms, Iran remains the only nation to exert its sovereign territorial rights vis a vis freign powers' increasing presence in the Persian Gulf. Just imagine what American coast guard would do if they see Iranian warships near the coast of, let's say, NY?!
