This is so embarrassing. The problem with those so-called reporters at voa is that they claim to be an expert in everything and this is a perfect example. It’s a shame that he doesn’t have the integrity to just stick to things that he is good at, like hosting the show in Persian! I’m truly embarrassed for him, not because he can’t speak English but because he can’t admit to it, and he is actually trying to show off his horrible English. He clearly suffers form way too much confidence.

they claimed he is fluent= they claimed that he was fluent

If you can’t write the language, then keep practicing.
