United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI)

New Rhetoric, Same Blatherskite

I was checking my email this morning and I ran across an advertisement on the Yahoo page that caught my attention. It was weird because the ads on Yahoo are usually for things like financial services or travel services or stuff like that, but this one was sponsored by a non-profit (501(c)3) group calling themselves "United Against Nuclear Iran", UANI for short. Sounded fishy. I had to investigate!

Here is their website:

//unitedagainstnucleariran.com

I watched their nifty little video and perused their website trying to figure out what they were trying to accomplish by spending a fortune advertising on Yahoo's website and making such fancy-shmancy videos and web stuff. If you are a non-profit, how do you have so much money?

The main figures featured in the promotion of the website, and the leadership of their group, includes former CIA leaders, big-wig think tank dudes, University smarty-pants, posh diplomats, and one very very sneaky but intelligent woman, who is about as close to our dear president, Mister George Walker Bush (AKA "Dubya"), as one can get. I am not sure that we could gather together a more closely-tied group to the Bush Administration if we tried. All of this under the guise of a "non-profit" group seeking to "educate" the public about the threats that Iran poses to the world with their "nucyoolar" power program>>> Continue

Not the WMD agian.

by An Iranian born in L.A. (not verified) on

I hate the IRI and their Akhoond regime. But even the most corrupt akhoonds in the IRI have more integrity that the low-lives who make these types of war-promoting clips. These well paid experts and their sponsors should be ashamed of their slick, slimy and inhumane work. How much more blood do they want to take? Why don't they talk about the other project that they promoted. Does anyone remember the WMD in Iraq? Hello? What happened to that one?

God is choosing the lessor evil. Iran will prevail, as usual.

I just loved the comments by the American who was born in Iran!

by Asghar from DC (not verified) on

In his comments under the heading "The only thing worst than a Nuclear Iran is a Hungry Iran!", the American who was born in Iran nailed it. He is absolutely correct in his analysis. This is the best comment that I have seen on this website about this topic.

God Bless the American who was Born in Abadan.

To all Zionists and Israelits

by Weiss (not verified) on

The only reason the zionists are able to hold the Jewish people in their grasp is because their propaganda machines are busy explaining to the Jews that its too late, even if you're not a zionist, the Arabs hate you so much today that if you return the land they will God forbid slaughter you, and that today is the strongest argument that they have to convince Jews to support their zionist state. This is the trap the zionists want people to fall in to so it is important for the Muslim people to get out there and make it understood that it is not the danger that is being portrayed by the zionists.

I'm Yisroel Dovid Weiss and I approve this message...

The only reason everybody is on Iran's case is because Iran is not  strong enough.otherwise they will all try to be your friend.

Some Jews Don't Want Israel to Bomb Iran

by Richard Silverstein (not verified) on

Thanks to Amir for featuring a link to my own post about UANI. It's a really underhanded effort to spread the Israel lobby's hostility toward Iran among a wider circle of Americans.

I write often about the danger of an Israeli or U.S. attack on Iran. I hope your readers might visit to read more on this subject.

False propaganda...

by non of your business (not verified) on

Not that I approve of anything but,

This video is not accurate... First it says they have been enriching uranium in high degree in Arak site which is NOT TURE and Second, it says that the Bushehr Reactor will have enough material for 30 bombs, 1 year after starting, which is simply imposible on a light water reactor.

regarding your strong words (to Zion)

by Anonym7 (not verified) on

Zion says: "...filth and fascism that is the Islamist regime in Iran..."

Zion, those words are way too strong to be used even against Israeli regime that has all but wiped out a nation (Palestinians).
The Islamic regime in Iran has made many mistakes, specially against Bahaies, that to some extent can be descried as fascism, but the scale of IRI mistakes in that regard does not remotely match that of Israel's!

The only thing worst than a Nuclear Iran is a Hungry Iran!

by An American born in Abadan. (not verified) on

What I heard in this video sounds a lot like the same CRAP that came out of the same people's mouths in 2003.

I don't see too many good options in dealing with Iran. One option (the one offered by the losers in this clip) is that we go war with Iran right now. Sure, with this option they don't get their nukes- but we'll probably have to kiss our economy good bye for a few years too.

The other option is to put them under sanctions. That's even better than the first one! Why? Because then you'll have a nuclear Iran with a young, hungry and aggressive population, who is pissed off at the world. Who thought of this option?

Iran is not like Nazi Germany. But if we keep up with these stupid sanctions, they could find a Hitler-type-of-a-leader, who might be much more aggressive and competent than whathisnajad.

There is only one way we can deal with this Iranians Regime. Keep them in power and bribe them. Bribe them early and bribe them often. It worked in Iraq- why not try it next door? Don't buy the BS about the surge working in Iraq. The Surge didn't work in Iraq- it was the bribing that worked.

How do you say "It's the economy, Stupid" in Farsi?
