Re: Ye Irani
by Feldmaus (not verified) on Sun Aug 24, 2008 01:37 PM PDTYou can only make USA a secure place by unsecuring the rest of the world which may include Iran. I don't know if you have left your family or any friends there or if you care about them at all but I personally would not want to contribute to a system which may be dropping bombs shortly on people I care about. No matter who is governing it.

by Ye Irani (not verified) on Sun Aug 24, 2008 12:45 PM PDTPolitically speaking, you may be right, BUT I care less about being politically correct;
As a human and resident of this country, having a safe and secure place to live is our duty and wish in general. One of the good things I learned in this country is rule of law. Something that we always want to break in our own country no matter what.

Does this web site follow any standards to prevent hate speech?
by Shadooneh (not verified) on Sat Aug 23, 2008 11:05 AM PDTApparently not! Otherwise rok goo's offensive and inhumane post would not be published. It's high time this site's "moderator(s)" start raising the bar. I have included the Talkback guidelines from two reputable Israeli publications on the left and right, I hope can help Iranian.com to catch up with the world standards to prevent hate speech.
Talkback rules by Haaretz:
1. Personal attacks, vulgarities and profanities directed at other respondents.
2. Statements terming Israelis or Palestinians and their leaders Nazis, or accusing them of genocide or ethnic cleansing.
3. Statements which may be construed as urging attacks on Israeli or Palestinian leaders, officials, security forces or civilians.
4. Comments of an anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, anti-Arab or other racist nature.
Talkback rules by Jerusalem Post (jpost.com):
Use of capital lettering in headlines and comment text will usually result in rejection by our editors.
Our aim is to provide the worldwide readership of The Jerusalem Post with a platform for lively but good-tempered debate. We do not tolerate language that is racist or abusive, and such talkbacks will be rejected.
