Not Namjoo
by Abarmard on Tue Aug 03, 2010 08:34 AM PDTThis is pure blues. Just Persian words. He would have sounded better singing in English, and why not? if you like to sing the blues as is without interpretation, sing it in English.
VOICE OF THE NEW GENARATION, BRAVO
by 13th Legion on Tue Aug 03, 2010 07:21 AM PDTShahin and Namjoo are talented innovators and the voice of the new generation; both have a strong following inside and outside of Iran.
I enjoy and support their music and look forward to seeing more original artists like them who dare to sing and make music that’s out of the tehrangelesi fossilized copy cat 6-8 box.
It’s very natural if the older generation cannot relate to this music.
Dameshon garm.
Fantastic
by statira on Mon Aug 02, 2010 04:48 PM PDTHe sings much better than most Tehrangeles singers. It's very modern in a persian way and unique.
Nevermind Shazde and
by benross on Mon Aug 02, 2010 04:20 PM PDTNevermind Shazde and Divaneh. They just don't like this kind of music. Which is perfectly okay. But I do like it and as someone who likes it, I'd say the value of this work can only be understood and appreciated in the confinement of IRI. In that sense, it is more social statement than musical. Musically speaking, this genre is far more challenging than what is presented here. And as I said, it can only be truly appreciated in the context of where it's coming from.
The best part of it
by divaneh on Mon Aug 02, 2010 03:58 PM PDTwas the last 30 seconds that was silent. He seems to be very talented but not in music.
Another Mohsen Namjoo is born ... congratulations!
by Shazde Asdola Mirza on Mon Aug 02, 2010 02:25 PM PDTThe "modern" persian music scene only needed this new addition!
