Please do!
by Arj on Mon Oct 31, 2011 09:34 AM PDTIt sounds very interesting! It's a kind of mystery to me, for I heard a long range of political activists from Ghazanfarzadeh and Sabbaghian (Banisadr's confidents) to the likes of Khanbaba Tehrani were members of the Confederation!
Good for you
by Mash Ghasem on Mon Oct 31, 2011 09:15 AM PDTYou don't know what you missed my friend. Maybe some day i'll write about it.

Me thought you might remember a few, and all those singing and dancing and....
Very glad you liked the combo: Only In Iran.
Divine!
by Arj on Sun Oct 30, 2011 08:48 PM PDTWhat a celestial combination dear MG; Khayyam, Shamloo and Shajarian! BTW, what is a "student congress?"
Exqusite synthesis: Khayam and Bandari musci, only in Iran.
by Mash Ghasem on Sun Oct 30, 2011 06:11 PM PDTAll that hand clapping and group singing reminded me of Iranian Students' Congress', folks used to get on the stage and start their Bandary shoulder shaking, and hand clapping, it was so contageous, almost everyone would start dancing and clapping. Arj might recall some of that as well?
For all those Khayam junkies, here's some of the best I've yet found on the net, shajarian and Shamloo sing and read Khayam, enjoy.

In no time this karavan of life passes
Seize the moment, how happy it passes
Oh wine server why worry about the contenders
Bring forth the cup, for the night passes.

Beautiful music!
by Arj on Sun Oct 30, 2011 12:41 PM PDTQuite simple, yet extremely rich! Another testimony that there's no shortage of depth in Persian/Iranian culture!
