General Eliezer Shkedi, who also heads the Israeli task force on Iran, made the remarks in an
interview with “60 Minutes” on Sunday. A large portion of Shkedi’s service has been dedicated to the preparation for a possible mission that was never discussed in public; an Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, should international economic sanctions fail, Israeli daily Ha’aretz reported on Monday.
