Mahtab & Luke - Part 2

They spent the night together and Luke told Mahtab that at this point in his life he's not sure what he wants, if anything, other than peace of mind. He assured her that he doesnot want to hurt her; that he loves her and wants her in his life. Luke flew to California to help Mahtab relocate.

Happiness comes from within. When you can love yourself only then can you love others. In order for you to understand who you are, take a look below:

* Reality is created through thoughts and emotions. Are you a victim of anyone else's reality?

* Life is an adventure. Follow your heart in all circumstances. Seize the day.

* When confronted with alternatives, always choose the one that creates the most excitement within you.

* Are you afraid of something? Face it until it doesn't scare you anymore.

Love is the only reality. In order to heal your relationships so you can attain happiness; you must learn to forgive, which means to always telling the truth, and self-sacrifice. Don't become somebody else in an attempt to please those around you. You should remain who you are; don't change. How can you truly give if not giving from who you truly are?

Luke and Mahtab moved to New York together in the spring. Their lives changed tremendously. She accepted a job with JAMA -- a medical journal -- as a correspondent, which suited her background in medicine.

As weeks past, Mahtab began to isolate herself. The amount of attention that was rained upon Luke (especially by women) was something she wasn't prepared for. She began declining dinner and party invitations. She wasn't insecure, or so she claimed, and she denied being jealous of the attention that Luke was getting. Her mood change was noticed by Luke who realized all this and tried to assure her that she was the only one for him.

She had to fly to Greece on assignment the following month and she told Luke that she felt this separation would be good for her, and he concurred. Mahtab didn't know that Luke had planned the entire Greece trip and the only assignment was for the two of them to spend quality time together.

Two weeks later Luke took Mahtab to the airport and she boarded the plane to Greece and they said their good-byes. He was on a different airline and boarded his plane two hours later. She arrived in Greece and there was a driver waiting for her to take her to her hotel, which she was told, was two hours away. Luke had the driver take her around Greece for a couple of hours until his plane landed. This was so romantic.

Well, Luke checked himself into their suite and made sure everything was in order. He received a call from the hotel check-in clerk who informed him that Mahtab just checked-in and was on her way upstairs. He left the room immediately.

The bellman opened her door and she walked into a room filled with flowers. There were 246 flowers to be exact - one for each day that they had been together. In the middle of all the flowers was a single white rose with a red ribbon and a card attached. The card read, "Meet me downstairs in 20 minutes!"

She took the rose with her and was about to go downstairs when she bumped into her driver. He had a package in his hands and told her that it was for her and that she was to open it before she went downstairs. She went back into her room and opened the box and it was a salmon color silhouette dress (simple and flowing). She assumed she was to change into it so she did and headed back downstairs.

There in the lobby was the driver who handed her a card. She was so excited. The card read:

You're soft as a whisper
You're the wind that moves through the leaves
What a load your heart carries, let me carry it for you.
When I'm not with you
You're always with me
I want to breathe you
I want to feel you
I want to take you in my arms and
... never let you go.
Will you let me?

Luke was standing behind her as she read the card and they embraced and they spent the entire week listening, loving, and embracing their gift of finding one another.
