Occasionally you have the good fortune of meeting someone really special.
You know that the first minute you meet them. It can be something in their
eyes, their smile or even the rhythm of their breathing. Whatever it is,
it makes you open in their presence and leaves you feeling that life is
good.
My friend Hossein Peigahi is one of those people . Bashfully humble,
genuinely sweet and prone to impish giggling. I am really pleased to be
able to share him and some of his work with you. Hossein is not only an
exceptional architect, but is a critically renowned artist in the Pacific
Northwest. And although his work as an architect deserves much attention,
I want to introduce you to his paintings
- because this is where he really lives.
When I began planning the upcoming exhibit and auction, The Art of Change,
Hossein was one of the first people I approached to participate. Since most
of Hossein's life has been spent designing schools, I knew that he would
not hesitate to donate his time and work in support of UNICEF.
The auction is a benefit for UNICEF, The United Nations Children1s Fund
and Hossein is one of 31 other Puget Sound artists participating in this
event. The Art of Change takes place Friday, May 11, at Westlake Center
in Seattle. For all of you in the area, this is a great opportunity to meet
him and to support an organization devoted to the welfare of children globally.
We hope you will join us. Details here
