The Iranian

* Updated October 25, 2001: Three new paintings

I was Born in Shiraz, Iran, and studied architecture at Tehran University's Fine Art College. I continued my graduate studies in Norway, and wrote my thesis -- "Reconstruction Following Disaster" -- at Oxford Polytechnic, Oxford, England. Later I studied graphic design and lithography at the College of Art and Craft in Oslo.

I live in San Francisco's Bay Area and work as a painter/caricaturist. Beside painting, I write. I've published several short stories and articles in different Iranian anthologies. My novel "Shamayel-e-Mana" was published in 1999. I'm currently working on a series of short stories and upcoming exhibitions of my paintings.
