The Iranian
Stranger
Two opposing worlds
One filled with hatred
One with strangeness
In one, I know I am not wanted
The other, I feel out of place...
None the less, I am hopeful
To find a way out of this maze
"Out of where?" you ask
No other place than where I call "home"
Yet, home means comfort
Home stands for security
Not for me
I have been a prisoner in my own home
Tortured, segregated, and pointed at
"Why?"
Often I ask the same question
After seventeen years, I have yet to find the answer
It used to seem like a nightmare
But every nightmare has an end
A time to wake up!
This nightmare's an eternity
Forced out of my "home country"
I wake up
Look out the window of reality
Only to realize
I am stranger to both worlds
