Sign of the times
A hotel glorifies pre-Islamic Iran

By Mehdi Ghaemi

The Iranian

Enclosed are the pictures from the newly opened Dariush hotel in Kish Island. The pictures do not really do justice to the real thing, but this is one of the best and most attractive hotels in Iran. All the sculptures are in solid rock and not molded. It's just breath taking. The columns in picture 18 are only 3 meters short of the actual Persepolis columns. Being there, makes one proud to be an Iranian!
