* Extraordinary poor taste

Even though you meant the Reza Pahlavi "interview" as merely an April Fool's joke, it appears to me in extraordinary poor taste. It would have been in poor taste had you done the same thing, say, in relation to Ayatollah Khomeini. The "joke" makes the editors of The Iranian sound like clumsy high school sophomores rather than serious journalists. As one who greatly values both freedom of speech and also high journalistic standards, I think you should at least immediately pull the story from your website. I would also hope that if, upon reflection, you see that the story was in poor taste you will say so in the next circular to the members of your subscription list.

* Funny

Seezdeh-ye shomaa ham beh dar; your message ["Not without my mom"] was funny and cunning.

* Irresponsible journalism

Your piece on interviewing Reza Palavi was a good example of a distateful and irreponsible journalism. I would include your piece in the curriculum of schools of journalism as the disgraceful journalism in its worst shape.

* Insulting banter

For the first time in years since you've had the liberty of having a strong media vehicle and mechanism for "proper information" distribution at your disposal. But you've finally managed to disappoint and print trivial, unnecessary, insulting banter ["Not without my mom"]. You've easily managed to disinterest a large sector of your audience.

If the article itself was not enough you went out of your way and sent an email to all subscribers informing of addition of this tasteless masterpiece to your website, on this of all days, "Seezdah bedar". Your taste leaves much to be desired.

Do you think if someone writes an article and associates you with the IRI regime and quotes you it would make for interesting reading? Perhaps I can convince the BBC where you contribute on air local Farsi content to do a program on you.

Please unsubscribe me from your Iranian.com effective immediately.

* Sick

I must say I fell for your stupid, F... up joke. You guys are not only sick, you are also full of it. How could you let yourself to get down to such low level? I realised that you think of it only as a joke, BUT YOU GUYS CROSSED OVER THE "TRUST" LINE AND RESPECT THAT IRANIAN PUBLIC OPINION HAD FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION. PLEASE REMOVE MY ADDRESS FROM ALL YOUR FUTURE MAILINGS RIGHT AWAY. I am sure someone could have thought of a better tasting joke if you guys had put your brains into work.

Sami Garshoni

* Your mother

You made a mistake and sent the picture of your own mother ["Not without my mom"] because I was there in the hospital when Shahbanou Farah give birth to Reza Pahalavi and amazingly I was there when your mother give birth to you and the picture you sent me is your mother. You can be sure of that.

* Shocking, horrible

I became very sorry and disappointed when I saw the article ["Not without my mom"]. It was shocking and horrible. All the political views aside, would you like to see that picture as your mum?!! Is your website supposed to be a place for Iranian from different backgrounds to discuss different topics and subjects to improve their knowledge and learn from each other or a place for some stupid and sick people to insult anybody in any form they wish?!! In practice, by letting publishing a nasty articles like this you showed that you have no respect for yourself or your country.

Shadin

* So sorry

I feel so sorry for myself to be from the same place as you guys ["Not without my mom"]...

* Please do not lie

PLEASE DO NOT LIE TO THE IRANIAN PUBLIC ["Not without my mom"]. PLEASE DO NOT DAMAGE THE IRANIAN HISTORY AS THIS DYNASTY HAS DONE IN THE PAST. IRANIANS HAVE BECAME SMART IN THE COURSE OF THE REVOLUTION AND THE EIGHT-YEAR WAR. IRANIANS HAVE HAD IT WITH THE POLITICIANS THAT SOLD THEIR COUNTRY TO THE FOREIGN POWERS. IRANIANS WILL NOT GET CHEATED ANYMORE. IRANIANS DO NOT WISH TO HAVE A KING OR MONARCHY. THEY WILL CHOOSE THEIR OWN LEADERS. IT IS A FUNNY DREAM FOR ANYONE TO THINK THAT THEY WOULD BECOME THE KING OF PERSIA. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER JOB.

Reza Tavakoli

* If he becomes king

I would like to know that in the unlikely event of citizen Pahlavi becoming the king of Iran will he allow such articles like "Not without my mom" to be published in Iran ? Or if he believes in the traditional Pahlavi way of dealing with the press and journalists?

Bahador Ahramian

* Fell off my chair - almost

My hats off to you man! I almost fell off my chair ["Not without my mom"]. You keep getting better at this! I'm just curious; how much hate mail have you received from the constitutionalists?

Bahman Bagheri

* Hehehehehe

Uh uh! ;-) I know better than to believe this dorougheh sizdah ;-) hehehehehe

Anahita Nikzad

* Apprecited

I always enjoy your yearly April Fools prank and I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your humor especially since I know you are going to be bombarded, just like every year, by angry people with no sense of humour asking for the cancellation of their subscription. That being said, I don't think you could ever top yourself with the prank you pulled last year or some years back with Madeleine Albright's visit to Iran. That was a classic! :o)

Nakissa Sedaghat

* Making people react

Your article ["Not without my mom"] was a MASTERPIECE on the levelof Picasso, Dali and Tristan and Isolda. The writing, illustration and title were perfect. Congratulations on a GREAT TALENT as a writer-artist. I am sure you will find your creative niche and be a GREAT SUCCESS. It is the ability to make people react that produces a great artist - DON't WASTE IT!
